silverthorn golf & country club

Due to extenuating circumstances we planned to play Silverthorn on the last day of their Group Golfer promotion. When we arrived at the course it was cloudy and cold and started raining lightly. Randy was extremely gracious and granted us a rain check to use on a nicer day which was much appreciated. We play Silverthorn several times a year and will continue to do so. The course is always in great shape and the staff cares!

Was there for an event and was surprised how tasty and hot the food was for serving so many. Has been renovated since there last, was beautiful then, must be prettier now...

I played Silverthorn today and teed off around 3:30. When I called earlier to make my tee time, the pro shop attendant stated the course was wide open after 1:00 and I would most likely breeze through. When I arrived, a high school and middle schoolers were teeing off at #1. After I hit some range balls, which I had to fetch myself, I teed off on ten. The teeboxes were horrible 2/10. Fairways were filled with weeds and extremely narrow 2/10. And the greens were average but cut way too high and super slow 4/10. I only paid $21 but I could have played Sherman hills or some place nicer for same price. I would not recommend Silverthorn when the local competition is so much better. The grill was closed at 5:30 also, which was disappointing.

My husband and I went to the early seating at 11:00 for the Easter Brunch today. We live in the area but had never been to Silverthorn before as we are not golfers. But we had heard they were having an Easter Brunch and thought we'd try it. The food was really good, there was a large selection, it was laid out nicely, and the food was hot. We didn't have to wait in long lines as we have had to at other brunches. The servers were very pleasant and never let us run out of water or coffee. We felt the price was very fair. We would highly recommend this brunch to anyone. We will probably stop by and try one of their lunches since we were so pleased with the food at the brunch.

Silverthorn is a great place to play and have lunch or dinner. We also went to the Thanksgiving dinner with entertainment and we enjoyed both.This golf course and restaurant are highly recommended

I am told the golf course is in good shape but I don't play. The club/restaurant is under new ownership and they are making great changes in appearance and food. Definitely worth a visit one Friday evening or daily for lunch.

Sliver thorn is semi private but they accept public play. It is a very challenging track for golfers at all levels. The staff is friendly and the restaurant food is acceptable for a country club. Get on their email list and you will receive notifications of their specials. In FL the area there are many golf clubs that one can choose from but value not many match the value for the money for anyone looking for a well manicured challenging round of golf.

Enlisted these folks to host a dinner event for 20 clients. The location was gorgeous, the meal and service was very good and at an excellent value. We will definitely use these folks again!

I thought this course was kind of boring, and that there was not a lot of shade. Don't play it on a really hot day.

It is true that we no longer have a beverage cart running on the course outside of tournaments, but we do have a full restaurant and bar with a take-out window that can be visited between the 9th and 10th holes. You can call ahead to place a take-out lunch order or purchase drinks and snacks there. The pro shop also sells drinks and snacks.

Good staff, fair prices and a great test for golfers of all skill levels. A must play if you are in the area

Silverthorn Golf & Country Club is a good course for the money. Challenging holes, nice layout, good facilities!

Well laid out course makes you use every club in the bag and to think about how to attack each hole..... good for average player as well as advanced. Condition usually above average.

This used to be a top-quality, Arnold Palmer-designed, course. Now it is in bad shape and appears poorly maintained. Really hope it comes back to its original condition.

I used to go to breakfast here all the time with a friend. I started to work and have to time to go to the club. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. The food is good but a bit pricey.
