Being from Australia we had never seen swamp land. Looking from the shore it looked like brown water and brown grass without much happening. Wasn't that a big mistake. Seth brought the place to life. As soon as he arrived he pointed out a small gator right next to the car park. His knowledge of the area is amazing. He pointed out all kinds of detail about the gators, the bird life, the snakes and the landscape itself. Having a small air boat we were able to access all sorts of areas and he was able to get us close to the gators. We saw loads of them and all sizes. Chelsea worked hard at matching us up with another group to keep the cost down. A great afternoon out.

This was the Best!!! Definitely worth the price, we took a 90 minute ride and saw a ton of wildlife, Eagles, Alligators, and many other birds. I took some beautiful pictures, so remember your camera. Seth is a Great tour guide, very informative, we had so much fun! There was only 2 of us and they were very helpful in scheduling a tour with another couple to save us a few dollars. I don't think that will matter next time, we will pay the extra for the private tour. I Highly recommend this tour if you are anywhere near Orlando, Daytona, Cocoa Beach, etc...

Great ride in powerful boats. The guides are friendly and knowledgeble. The area is amazing! A tour around the area is a must and this company can be highly recommended.

While we couldn't hunt the river, because of high water, we still hunted wild boars with switchgrass! Seth and the boys were very accomodating and knowledgeable!

I decided to add my review to a long list of outstanding reviews to confirm that even when the weather has not cooperated the attraction is still an awesome activity! We rode with Captain Seth the day after Thanksgiving and there had been a few days of heavy rains. He indicated this was only the second time he has seen the water that high. There were four of us and we were excited to see the wildlife, unfortunately the water was so high we actually found very little wildlife, a few birds (including an eagle and a pair of the only naturally pink birds) but no gators or hogs or deer. The captain was so experienced and knowledgeable that the trip was still well worth the time. He entertained with great stories and stopped to explain the water levels and the areas we were passing over while we enjoyed the ride and scenery. He took us into a cypress grove and stopped to explain the trees and their growth as well as information on the birds and bugs (spiders in particular) that frequent the area. The facts and information he provided about the entire area was really interesting. Any operator can take you on an air boat ride, and, in normal water level conditions, show you numerous gators in this area. However, this attraction and its true excellence is in the people, from his wife that handles the phone and business arrangements (as well as an active outfitter), to the Captain that grew up in the area and has a passion for the area and everything that he does, which is evident on his tours. I would highly recommend this ride for families of all ages! GREAT!!!

On October 31, I had the pleasure of hunting with Captain Seth. Over the years I have been blessed with some fine hunting opportunities throughout Fl.,Ga., and SC. Due to business, I just do not have the time to hunt as much as I would like. I had one day to escape the office and Seth made every minute count. He is a top notch guide, knows that marsh like the back of his hand, and is the kind of fellow that seems like an old friend that you have not seen in a while. If your looking for a true Fl. wild hunt with a true hunting guide that has his ethics in order, then Switchgrass Outfitters is where you need to go. D. Hooper, Hooper Electrical Services Inc.

We experienced this airboat ride this past April. Seth was our captain and he was great! He is a very nice man who is very knowledgeable about the area. He knows where to look for the wildlife and has interesting stories to tell. Because they use the smaller 6 passenger airboats they can take you into areas where the larger airboats can not go. Also because of the size and the tier seating, everyone can see everything. We had a great time. We saw numerous alligators, bald eagles, many different birds and a variety of beautiful wild Florida scenery. We got some beautiful pictures and Seth went above & beyond to make sure we had a great time & saw as much as possible. If you are looking for an airboat ride, this is the one! Unlike others, this one is out in the wild. All you will see is wildlife and nature. No houses, etc. We will be returning some day soon. Thank you Seth!

We picked this company based on the reviews posted here and made the correct choice. Captain Seth was extremely knowledgeable of the area and very personable. He did everything possible to make this a great experience for us. The water conditions were not right to see gators but that didn't stop him from looking and we did see a large one from a distance and a small one up close. A friend who went with us stated that this was the best experience he's ever had during a Florida vacation, and he's taken one every year for 20 years or more. Seth recommended calling well ahead to see what the conditions are so he can recommend a best time to go. We could see a couple of other operators with their tours, including a large commercial outfit and their tour didn't come close to what we got. We will do this again next year, and we will do it with Switchgrass.

Even though the water was very high and we didnt get to see as many gators as we would have liked the tour was great. The tour guide was the owner and he really knows what he is doing. He was raised there and he is very knowledgeable. We saw some very beautiful sites on the tour.would definitely recommend.

My husband and I went on a private tour at 7am today with Captain Seth! He stops and explains things in great detail. It was so much fun. We saw alligators, baby wild hogs, birds, cows and horses! We are planning on doing this with our kids the next time we are here. You must so this if you are here. We recommend the earlier the better because we were the only ones out there so no one else could scare away the gators!

Chelsea and Seth are the captains and they were extremely friendly. They make a really good team. We stopped in various places and they showed us all of the wildlife and what Florida has to offer besides Tourist attractions. Plenty of wildlife to see and the ride its self is a blast. Even my 2 year old loved it!! Would definitely recommend this boat over others. ThanksDerek, Megan and Hunter.

Seth and Chelsea Whitaker were amazing hosts. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth experiencing and fun for the whole family. I highly recommend booking a reservation with them. Had a blast :)
