We only drove through on Interstate 75 and didn't stop to take anything in, so take this "review" with a grain of salt. My wife had never seen an alligator in the wild, so the canal on the north side of the highway made her day (we were traveling west). We saw several alligators, from about 2'- 4'. Granted, it was at 70 mph, but something is better than nothing.

Excellent cabin facilities, made you feel right at home, can't wait till 2016 for 2 week stay. Great experience and awesome vacation site.

I've driven into and through this reservation a few times. I haven't yet been here when the rodeo was going, though I've walked around the rodeo grounds and stadium. The souvenir items in the gift shop are pricey. The homes of the residents here are modest, which belies the fact that the Seminoles essentially started reservation gambling with their bingo back in the late 70s. They have since then purchased the Hard Rock enterprise for close to a billion dollars! Each member of the tribe receives a payout from the gambling revenues each year, which I understand approaches six figures. But you'd never know it from driving around here and looking at the modest homes, many of which have the iconic chickee in the yard. There is a modern fire station, with fire engines ready to go. There's a community center. And an air strip. Plenty of pickup trucks and ATVs. There are cattle being raised here. It's a most interesting driving tour through the reservation.

We attended the 119th anniversary celebration for the Big Cypress Reservation. There were several vendors selling jewelry, tee shirts, and food (primary barbecue). The food was good. The main event was a Montgomery Gentry/Gary Allan concert held in a field near the Junior Rodeo Arena. The staff handled everything well and respected those who had sat in line for several hours when they opened the gates to allow us to take our bag chairs up near the stage. The reservation was very clean with beautiful newer buildings.

Excellent Museum attractions; Billies Swamp Safari and restaurant and grounds are great. It is nice to see the animals up close.

There is a very nice boardwalk, with native plants and animal life documented on informative signs, and a brief history of the Seminole Indians (the Unconquered), of South Florida.

this place I have visited many times, my only siting of a florida panther is most memorable, was within 5 yards and it quietly slipped away and was gone almost before you knew it... my then 4 year old daughter was thrilled and talked for days about the "pink panther". now there is just development, the 2 lane roads 4-6 lane highways, casino money fueling it, and the wildlife, such as it is, fades away

I was there for the Big Cypress Anniversary celebration. Loads of live music! Great food especially the fry bread. A very good array of crafts and entertainers. The bull riding was fun to watch and the arena put you right in the action.

If you are in South Florida, seeing the glades, Seminole museum and Swamp Safari is worth the trip at least once. I am a Florida resident and I learned some new stuff. I probably won't be back in the glades anytime soon since I live close to the park on the west coast side but it was great for a day trip with my son.

A friend and I drove to the Seminole Museum south of Clewiston. The grounds and buildings look brand new (inside and out), but we were told they were built in 1997. First there is a 17 minute video of the history of the Seminoles that was well done. Then a guide went through the museum with us explaining the meaning of the various exhibits; also done very well. We walked the board walk (1.5 miles). About half way around you come to a few huts where Indians were working on beading, baskets and making patches (decorative for their clothes). Nearby there is a restaurant and other attractions where you can take an airboat ride or a dune buggy ride.

this festival was held on the indian reservation. not much comment here except that it is a vast piece on land with 2ft cow patties that are not made to be driven over by bimmers....other than that easy to find but really nothing else out there afraid i was going to get low on gas and get stuck...thanks
