cortez watersports

I had been here years ago and rented wave runners and really enjoyed the time we had so we came back this year to rent a boat. Best decision we ever made. The area was explained very well as far as where to go, when to be there, good places to eat, etc. All the rentals were taken and the owner actually moved his schedule around to accommodate us. We swam, docked at the sandbar, ate lunch at a restaurant off the water...good times. Will definitely look to do this again next year.

Rented a Pontoon recently from Cortez Watersports and the boat was excellent and had plenty of room for our group of 9. The cooler of ice included was a plus.Unfortunately, not long after we left dock, my 11 year old daughter was not doing so well as was truly frightened of being in the boat. We tried checking out a few of the areas that Danny had mapped out for us but she was freaking out so much that we had to go back to the dock and only ended up having the boat around an hour (we had paid for a full day too). Danny was so awesome in understanding and offered us several ways of making it up to us as he put it. I said to him he doesn't have anything to make up for as it was all our choice to end it early. Danny then said that he wants to make sure we have a good time during our stay on Anna Maria Island and gave us some other options the remaining days we were there. Unfortunately we were not able to make it happen as have 5 kids with us was too difficult for my wife and I to get away for some Jet Skiing.That folks is what customer service is all about! Danny truly cares about his customers and I would absolutely recommend Cortez Watersports anyone looking at renting watercraft near Anna Maria Island.Thanks Danny and sorry we couldn't make it back but we will definitely look you up if we are able to come back again next year.Thanks,Alan and Kristin

We rented two waverunners to take out three children for some fun on the water. Everyone that works here is very kind and understanding in meeting your needs. The rules were explained to us and they were SUPER accommodating with our needs. The prices were awesome for what you get and the waverunners were in peak condition and ready to go. There is an area between the two bridges that has dolphins swimming around for sightings. We did see them and it was a great experience for the kids to see them in their natural habitat. So if you are in the area and looking for your watersport needs then go no further than Cortez Watersports because this is where you will have a blast on the water. ENJOY!!!!!!!

We stayed on AMI for a month and wanted to have freedom to be out on the water. Danny at Cortez really went out if his way to help and gave us a very reasonable rental. The boats (pontoon boats) we rented were clean, reliable and quick. The jet skis were great - new'ish and again, reliable. It's a less polished set up than some renters - but that's a bonus in my book. No fuss, no quasi-corporate attitude - just a run through of the safety features and we were away. Ice and fuel included as part of the service. By far the best value we found in the area.

We decided to stop in and check prices for boat rental and they were great. Danny is who helped us and he is great. Very informative and friendly.We rented a Pontoon Boat for the entire day to take through the bay. We were able to see many Dolphins through the day and also pull up right on to the sand at this little private island, which was beautiful. This was the best thing we did the entire trip. They also have Jet Ski rentals available.
