edgewater park

The first dayNot our vacation there was a wonderful micro brew fest in this park that was right across the street from our hotel. Great little park that is used a lot!

Edgewater Park sits next to the Dunedin marina and has a playground,two pavilions, grills,a gazebo,and restrooms Occasionally, Dunedin runs festivals here (craft beer fest,seafood fest,,,) and often pavilions are used for birthday parties The Linear Park starts a block north and meanders along St Joseph Sound for 1 1/2 miles to the bridge just after Sunset Point Rd. Great views of Clearwater Beach and Calidesi, lots of birds,and many benches. You won't find a better place for a morning jog.

Edgewater Park is near my brother's house, so when visiting, it was a nice place to go for a walk. It meanders along the bay and the view is spectacular. Lots of walkers and feels safe.

Under 1/2 mile from downtown historic Dunedin, you will find yourself just beyond the Dunedin Marina and at a secluded piece of land along the ocean's edge called Edgewater Park. Beautiful sunsets were on hand and either we were the only people there or we shared the sunset with under a dozen others. At the front end of the park, on the opposite (east) side of the marina, you'll find a small playground. On the north side of the park you will find a pricey restaurant that I didn't try, although I will on my next visit as it was the one place locals would all agree on as having the best meal in town. {I have beautiful sunset photos from this location, but I'm not being given the option to upload them.
