the tavern on 1st

I know a few people that go to Tavern regularly and the head door man (bald Asian) is always VERY rude and unprofessional. Never have had a good experience around him. He's almost as bad as the staff at the Ritz, if that's even possible. If it weren't for him I would be a regular.p.s. I hate the Ritz

The bouncer, asian i believe, is an awful individual. I head to the tavern a few times a year, and every time someone has an issue with him. He has a "god of the bar" complex which I guess is normal for a career bouncer. I won't be back anytime soon, and do not recommend to anyone.

Great staff and always a fun time! Early it's fun for hanging... they have Goldentee, Pool, Cornhole and a few other games... It gets going by 9 or 10 and have good live bands and DJs! My go to in Jax Beach!

Bouncer wearing beanie, looked Asian, was very rude. Started with giving my friend trouble at the door even though he is 25. Continued to give my friend nasty looks all night and when my friend made eye contact, he kicked him out saying he was being aggressive towards him which wasn't the case at all. Nothing was handled in a professional manor and the bouncer in the beanie should be fired in my opinion. I've heard many complaints about this guy. So if you decide to go here I warn you.

Best place on Jax beach, door guy was super friendly! Bartenders were knowledgable and very warm decor. Will def come back soon!

the barslut taj gwizdak will hang on any man married or not just for a tip!! she should work on the corner or on the bar instead of behind it!!!

The doorman, the bald-headed guy who said his name was "KB", was very rude to me and my friends the weekend of the blues fest. We won't be back just because he was so rude

The Tavern on 1st Street is fairly new to the Jax Beach area but is making headway quick. The owner, Steve, is very friendly and seems to enjoy being around the work place. It has been designed in a way that is easy to get a drink in a timely manner and hangout without the feel of being over crowded. With plenty of tvs, pool tables, corn hole, and at times live music this place has plenty of entertainment. Location is not too bad either being next to the pier and other beach bars and restaurants.
