So we didn't know what this place was but found out it is a giant indoor play area for kids. It has a giant boat which kids can get on and be a pirate and then other different areas which allow children to use their imagination. We ended up going to this place on a sunny day and I only wish I had known more about it because I would have chosen to go to one of the local aquariums instead. However, with all this said, this is a great place to bring kids and let their imaginations run wild!
Small but very good for children. Lots of different hands on activities for them. They also have very good special events so watch the calendar.
My grandchildren beg to go there every time they come to visit. It's so well designed and laid out and has such interesting displays, even adults don't get bored. It's reasonably priced and a wonderful way to spend a day. My only complaint is the lack of seating for the adults in some areas.
Our 4 yr old loved this museum. Pirate ship, fire truck, mechanic shop, and outdoor climbing sculpture were his favorites. We spent about an hour and 1/2 there. That was plenty of time to enjoy the exhibits.
We took advantage of a membership special to renew our expired membership and I am glad that we did because admission prices have increased and it's no longer a good value to go otherwise. I understand that increasing costs require them to raise prices and while I can see that they have made some additions and improvements in the few months we were away, there are still a lot of broken things that don't make it feel worth it to pay $8.50 per adult and $6 per kid. My kids still have fun and it's still a good indoor entertainment option for my preschoolers.
There is no place like the Children's Museum. This is a must do. We liked it so much we became members. Children love playing and you feel safe.
grandkids had a lot of fun there. great place to go on the bad weather days. A place you would not know is there
Different things for kids to do. Shoot a cannon, play shopping in a supermarket. Watch min. trains. My Granddaughter was two and a half, she loved it.
the fire truck replica ok, but the Pirate ship was disappointing. the G'son tired of it with limited points of interest...but then 2 yrs old has short attention span
Always a great time to be had for children of all ages! From a supermarket to a vet clinic to a race car garage, they can pretend to be whatever they want here!
This childrens museum has a lot of interesting things for children to discover and play on and has just added as outside playground. Also it is in the Indian River Park. so lots to do and see.
This museum will keep you kids busy for a couple hours. We paid $20 for 2 adults and 1 child (5 yrs) There are different interactive rooms: A health and wellness center where you can be a vet and check animals or be a dentist. A post office where you can deliver mail through the museum. A building center where you can learn about houses and build one. An interactive Publix store. An interactive theatre and a pirate ship. I think anyone over the age of 9 will be bored. We were disappointed on this visit ( our 3rd) some of the displays weren't working. There was only 1 train running on the train display. Usually there are several. The old carousel/merry go round didn't work when you pressed the button. On the pirate ship one of the cannons wasn't working and the pulley to bring the bucket of cannon balls wasn't working. The cash registers at the Publix didn't work. They close for a week next week. Hopefully these things will get fixed. We paid $20 for 2 adults and 1 child (5 yrs) There are different interactive rooms: A health and well center where you can be a vet and check animals. First impression I liked it a lot. Seems clean and open. As we started to explore around we discovered that some equipment were missing and took some delight away. Still, ny son loved shooting balls from the canon on the pirate ship. Playing at the garage repairing a car and building a house with big blocks.
This is the best maintained children's museum I have been to! I have brought my granddaughters here since they were 5 & 3. Haven't been back for awhile (they are older now) but recently went with a friend and her 3.5 yr old son. He loved it! I was impressed. Not only is it meticulously maintained but they have added to the exhibits. It is a fabulous!
My kids loved this place. The best part about it was the huge indoor pirate ship that had cannons that actually shot plastic balls. I don't think I've ever been to a place that had so much to offer in terms of interaction with the kids. Each area had it's own props, costumes, etc. If you're looking to spend a few hours out of the sun, this is the place! It included a fire truck, car repair shop, vet shop, mail room, toddler play area, etc.
