Hi Helmut!We are very glad to hear you enjoyed the Kayak Sunset Tour with Jim! He is an excellent instructor :) Not only is he an experienced Kayaker but an excellent photographer as well! The pictures from your tour were simply amazing! And as a Florida Master Naturalist, he is also very knowledgeable in the flora, fauna, ecology and natural history of Pine Island Sound :) The Randell Research Center is very near and dear to all of our hearts, glad you both had a chance to explore it before heading home :)Sunset tours are one of my favorite times to be on the water as they offer not only an opportunity to see wildlife feeding at dusk but also the glorious sun setting over beautiful Matlacha! Dear Jim,Thank you for your feedback. We aim to please and your comments allow us to continue to improve the quality of our tours. One of the beautiful things about nature is its unpredictability. Some days things are in all the right places and almost seem staged. As part of our commitment to responsible wildlife viewing, we always respect their space by maintaining a safe and comfortable distance. Your point is well taken regarding route and timing. The combined effects of the wind and tide become more realized as we are on the water and sometimes change levels in the backcountry. Hi Debbie!My apologies in the delayed response! We really do appreciate your feedback & are very happy to hear you had such a great time on the water! My wife says she's gonna try placing an umbrella in the rod holder to see if it works for shade, what a great idea! We're glad you were able to get on the water before the cold snap, October is one of the most beautiful months here!
