We live to go here to have little samples and buy the juice. It is delicious. We also love their orange and lime ice cream. Orange is twisted with vanilla and chocolate with the lime. There is also pineapple. We also like to buy key lime pies here and they are great. It is even fun to wait in line here. There are beautiful Bombay trees nearby with huge amazing flowers. It is a short bike ride from the bike trail too,

We order oranges from here every year, without ever having visited. We just found out a few trips ago that they sell ice cream, soft serve, orange and vanilla twist, orange pinapple twist, lime, and a few other flavors, very unique. They also have a small gift shop, you can purchase their orange juice as well.

Nokomis Groves looks like the 1950s and is a real old Florida citrus grove operation. They sell the seasonal citrus that you would have seen in 1955 and in a store that probably hasn't changed much since then. All the citrus is fresh and you can ship cases home to your friends should you choose. They also have soft serve orange flavored ice cream that is a favorite. The citrus shop sells strawberry-orange juice that is very popular in the area. Look for the signs, it's easy to find.

When in the area, we make this a regular stop for their fabulous orange/vanilla swirl, and also get some fresh orange juice along with their great citrus. One of the first places we come to when we arrive. Too bad they're only in Nokomis.

I am hard pressed to explain the popularity of Nokomis Groves. Yes, they have good citrus to sample, to buy, and to ship, They have a store with all kinds of citrus centric stuff, jams, jellies, candies, etc. But, pass this place on Albee Farm Road any time between noon and 5 pm between November and April and you will invariably find a line of several dozen people waiting in line to buy and many others on their "front porch" sitting and eating their signature product, a creamsicle type of ice cream. Yes, it's very good. I like ice cream too, but this is absolutely over the top how people will flock to this place, bring their visiting family, out of town guests, friends, or pets to wait in line and buy this this ice cream. I suspect they may be putting some kind of secret "happy juice" in their ice cream to foster an addiction. Give it a try. You'll be amazed at the number of people there and maybe make new friends. Just another service Nokomis offers :-)

A regular stop for the orange juice and always manage to find some wonderful tomatoes and other goodies.

This is a local tourist spot. You must go once, try their soft-serve ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, orange, lime, or pineapple, swirled in any combination or solo), tour the showroom, and get a bag of fruit. Lots of local jams and honey in all types. Plenty of Florida souvenirs. This us almost a one-stop shopping for FL tchotchkes! If you want to get local fruit shipped anywhere else in the world, this is where to do it. However, it is NOT cheap. The ice cream is $3.95 for a small cone (granted, it's pretty big for a small sized!!). Citrus fruit is actually cheaper at Walmart or Detweiler's Farm Market a bit further south on US41 (Tamiami Trail). We make it a yearly pilgrimage to get ice cream here. It is one of the few remaining local citrus growers. Go early in the afternoon if you can, because the ice cream line outside is usually very long.

Was looking for a place to take some kids for ice cream. Nokomis Groves was suggested and off we went. A not so secret locals place for ice cream and a fruit stand/gift store. It was a "chilly" Florida day so there wasn't much of a line. The portions are generous, but not cheap. Just a few flavor/flavor combinations to choose from. Keeping things simple should help keep lines moving when they are busy. I will stop here again the next time I'm in town.

You have to try the ice cream. For the first timer, get the orange/pineapple swirl. For the adventurous order the Whammy.

We went to Nokomis Groves to order fruit as gifts for our relatives, but we found so much more. The staff was helpful with the gift order without being pushy. What we didn't expect to find was a good store with interesting marmalade and sauces to flavor fish or meat. The fresh-squeezed orange juice we bought was as good as I've ever tasted. Another surprise was the ice cream stand outside, but, judging by the long line (which moved quickly) others were well-aware of this treat.

Every year I come to Florida to visit family! Every year we go to Nokomis Grove at least once. We always go in the shop where they offer small glasses of fresh orange juice for 0.05! The orange juice is to die for, at least for a northerner! They have fresh fruit, candy, and momentos there as well. Then you go outside to the ice cream store, which is to die for! I always order a Vanilla-orange twist cone and have never been disappointed! I would say this is a place you need to visit if you haven't been there!!

We have been a customer for several years. Every holiday season we have sent their baskets to family and friiends. All have been delivered on the date promised. The products that arrived were always the best and much appreciated by all.

As a northerner visiting (every southerner lets you know it), I found this place very interesting. First - it has a historical component with 66 years of operations. Their retail store sells oranges, juices, jellies, candies and gifts. They even sell ice-cream. Located about five minutes off of 75, its worth a trip for fresh fruit. Orange and citrus groves are still located on Albee Farms Road.

I have been visiting Nokomis Groves for at least 30 years! The ice cream is so yummy! My favotite is lime chocolate swirl !!! The small gift store is fun to shop and get classic "Fla" gifts! You must put money in Blossom the pigs pocket and taste the orange juice or grapefruit juice. It's a tradition!! Did I mention the Orange juice??? The best anywhere!!! I look forward every year to the Honeybells! You need a bowl they are so juicy ! Love this place . First I took my children, and now my little Grand daughter !

Since Nokomis Groves is closer to where we live, we decided to check it out and see if we should be buying our citrus from them. The store doesn't open until November 3rd but the ice cream shop was. I had the orange vanilla swirl, my husband orange/key lime chocolate swirl. We both agreed that the cones were stale and the ice cream tasted fake. No receipt was given after the sale. There was a steady flow of customers but I wonder how many were first time visitors. We won't be back. We'll continue to shop at Mixon Fruit Farms in Bradenton!
