All the good reviews are true, went on a Thursday with my son and spent almost 5 great hours shooting steel at pistol gallery and rimfire at rimfire gallery, finally got to experience what Hitchcock45 get to live LoL, even though it is a long drive I plan to return often.

First visit impressed ! We did want to take some extensive training, but they took to long to get back to us via internet request! We are planning on taking one course end of Feb if the weather is right! Only suggestion is they should have bulk ammo for sale there! Be sure to bring your own! So Far impressed and I have my own range at home! Cant wait to experience some of their training with the wife! I will Keep Ya Posted ;)

Great place! Range master is extremely helpful and professional with emphasis on safety! Wide assortment of gun and archery venues.

My friends and I regularly make a 100 mile pilgrimage here. We love being surrounded with the beauty of real Florida at this outdoor range! The various ranges are amazing and the staff is very helpful and nice. We always have a blast here! I can't wait to come back!

I think it`s the best in the state and I`ve got a lot of friends in the surrounding counties that agree. For first timers it`s the most relaxed well instructed and cost effective range around. Well worth driving to. And like I said, I have a lot of friends that do.They`ve got multiple ranges ( they`re outdoors under cover), a gunsmith and a shop for any supplies you might need or forgotten to pack. If you don`t mind shooting outdoors and need a place to sight in a rifle or whatever or you want a place to go shooting with the safety of an expert instructor close at hand then this is the place for you.

I visited the Okeechobee Shooting Sports with my husband and son last week (and my mum sat on their porch in the shade as she did not want to shoot). We had a fantastic time, and I had an absolute blast. We were visiting from the UK and so wanted to shoot our favourite guns - me the handguns, my husband the rifle and my son both. the staff are very friendly, not patronising - there's not as much choice of rental guns as in other places we have been, but the open air ranges and the overall experience made up for that. There is shade for those who don't want to shoot, and shade for those who do. It was a little on the expensive side, but we did fire the 50 cal which was expensive as we knew it would be, but was an absolute must for my husband. The handgun range is next to the rifle range, and so it is easy to spend time on each which is great when you are split between what you want to fire. if you are looking for a friendly place to fire guns (whether visiting from the UK or anywhere) then the drive out to Okeechobee is well worth it. Try the 50 cal!

This is a full service shooting range suited to paper target and cowboy action shooters. It has a skeet and trap range. The staff can be gruff at times but if you are there to enjoy shooting rifle or pistol this can be overlooked. The rifle and pistol range offers full cover from the hot summer sun and the small concession offers a variety of ammunition an targets. If you need a place to shoot static targets this is a good choice.

They had everything anyone could need, all ammo and guns for rent, the people working there were amazing as well. So helpful and friendly. Definitely going back! Thank you Bryan K!

After my kids and I purchased our first firearms, we went out to OK Shooting, because we had been in contact with them about a Boy Scout outing. They hosted members of our Troop and they had a great time. Although it's a bit of drive from Port St. Lucie, it is well worth it. We had tried shooting at a closer indoor range, but whenever we talk about going shooting, we always say, "let's just go to Okeechobee." We haven't been in a while since my son went to college and up and joined the Army, but we will when we can. Great place to shoot and have some fun. And, they're not "crazy gun nuts," just people who like to shoot for fun and practice. A comfortable environment for all people (as long as you like the sounds and smells of a target range!)

I happened to see something about IDPA defensive shooting onTV,, and decided to head to this range to take an introductory course. The staff were totally professional, and the price reasonable. The facility is well organized and well thought out.The instructors had a strong emphasis on safety which was appreciated by all 12 participants. At no time did I feel like Gunny Ermey was over my shoulder.I highly recommend this experience, comes in handy for a novice concealed carry license.Well done guys!!!

I've just moved to south Florida from Maryland, comparatively the range is huge! Pro shop is nice, plenty of lanes and you can park right at your range.I took the tactical drills course as I'm interested in shooting a 3gun; the staff were great! These boys knew their stuff! At no point did it feel like boot camp, we were having fun the entire time, constantly shooting in different orders and cadences, angles and moving in different directions (although downrange didn't change, the environment/course did change). Improvement and were only given 1or2 at a time so I never felt overwhelmed or discouraged. The instructors were having fun too which always makes the class better, they enjoy what they do. Will, Jeff, and stocky dude with the cool truck, thank you! I will be back to train again next month.Vince

I spent 3 days using the facilities there undergoing a training course. The staff are knowledgable and friendly. All you'd expect from a shooting club in central Florida.

My wife and I are from the UK, were on holiday in Florida and had half a day to spare, so I asked my wife if she fancied shooting some real guns in a safe controlled environment and to my surprise she jumped at it. I shot clays a little some years ago and some competition standard air rifle, but my wife had never fired a gun of any kind in her life. We decided to try an hour of shotgun and an hour of handgun tuition and we both enjoyed ourselves immensely.Charlie was our shotgun tutor and he set the session at exactly the right level for us, helping us with lots of tips and we both did pretty well. He was very courteous and safety conscious at all times and took the session very seriously even though we were casual tourists and probably would never return to the club again. Our handgun tutor was Jon - a real character and a very interesting man; an ex-army long range sniper, ex-close personal protection contractor and a teacher of Krav Maga (Israeli commando martial art). I'd have loved to gone for a few beers with this guy - many hair curling tales to tell I'm sure. His was also extremely courteous and also pitched the session at exactly the right level for both of us. We both used semi-automatic pistols, a .22 for my wife (low recoil) and a 9mm Glock for me (quite a lot more kick). Safe, excellent tution throughout and many tips and tricks thrown in. We managed to get through 100 rounds each in the hour, including loosing off whole magazines in one go at the end - very satisfying!Overall, a great experience.I can't understand the negative comments about customer service, this was not a problem for us.

Facilities, pro shop, firing lines are very nice. There is a good, helpful Gunsmith right on site who will work on your firearm. The standard ranges are compact but functional. Action bays for IDPA very cramped. Good shotgun stands.Unfortunately, the folks who run the front office don't know the meaning of customer service. I spent $20 to shoot their IDPA match, which took 7 hours for 40 shooters because there were 6 stages but only 3 action bays; so after shooting 3, all stages had to be torn down and reset for the next 3. So, fine, done shooting IDPA at 3:00pm. Went to front desk and asked if I could spend 30 minutes zeroing a rifle on the standard range. Sure, for the $30 daily rate. This is when they're closing the range in an hour, and after paying $20 to spend half the day as a volunteer IDPA Safety Officer for them. I asked if I could get a military discount, or an IDPA discount, or credit for the $20 already paid, as I only wanted to fire 25 rounds and check zero. Answer? NO.Customer service sucks. Despite being a paying customer, you will be treated as if you're an uninvited guest and they can't wait to get rid of you. Go to St. Lucie Shooting Center in Port St. Lucie or Shoot Straight in West Palm Beach instead.

Went with my family to watch my husband and sons shoot. I was not comfortable around guns so I planned on just watching. From the moment we got there everyone was super friendly and after a short discussion I agreed to try it. Brian, the range officer was AWESOME! He pulled me aside addressed my concerns and aprehensions and then spent almost an hour working with me to show me the proper techniques and this wasn't even a class! He went way above and beyond and did it at a pace I was comfortable with. Definetly comming back for the Ladies Defense Training course with my friends. I went from my heart stopping every time I heard a shot to being able to load, dismantle and properly shoot a gun all in one afternoon. Highly recommend it for all levels, definitely ask if Brian is on at the pistol range if your a beginner!!
