This park is the site of the Great Chili Cook Off and is jammed. Swimming, music, good food. Not to miss. However, the water park is open most of the year with fun water slides, lazy river, and a kiddie's section. Pavilions for parties, open areas for tossing a ball. And the price can't be beat.
I remember coming here when I was a kid. The park really hasn't grown. Now you have to be weary of people stealing your things there are only four attractions. I think the park needs a make over. I wouldn't recommend this to any travelers.
Good county park with a great water park. Also has camping and a lot of shelters for rent.Nice for picnicking and BBQ's.
This park is well worth the $43.00 to park the motorhome overnight or even longer. Paved level sites with full hookups, laundry facilities and great level walking and biking paths. The snowbirds fill the park for good reason. Plan early and make reservations. Verizon coverage 4 dots on LTE. My small HD antenna picked up over 40 channels. Not much privacy. Very clean park.
This is a great public park with pavilions, BBQ pits plenty of areas for field type sports and planned attractions such as the Chili Cook off. It even has it's own water park. Great for parties big and small. Company picnics, birthday parties or just a day to walk around outside. CB Smith also has camp sites.
With Markham Park just up the road some it is hard for CB Smith to compete I guess. Went to the driving range once but was not impressed, taken the kids there a couple of times and rented bikes etc, it was fun but nothing different. Nothing wrong with the place and the Chili Cook Offs are legendary (a must do) but other parks in the area offer so much more it’s hard to recommend this one.
We were on our way to Key West and had heard about Broward County Parks. We chose this one because it had full hook-ups. It was a very nice park. Large with LOTS of space for biking. We wanted to visit South Beach and the National Park, so this wasn't a great location - about an hour away. During the non-winter seasons, there is a LOT to do at this park. They say they have wi-fi, but it would hardly work for us. We have found this at many campgrounds that advertise wifi. Would recommend this park to families.
A perfectly fine place to mini-golf with the family, it's what you expect for $8 at a convenient location. The course is nothing fancy, but it sports 18 holes that are somewhat of a challenge. On a Sunday afternoon, it's not too crowded. My expectations were met - it was very easy to enter the park, pay, and $8/person for essentially ALL-YOU-CAN-GOLF, CB Smith does it best.I originally planned to go to Monster Golf, but my mom preferred the outdoors, and from what I saw when I went into Monster Golf, this course is slightly larger (Monster Golf has its own strengths, though). Also, as a response to the "bad employees" working at AllGolf, there was one girl at the register, and I didn't have any problems with anything, it may depend on the day. Also, the courses are not lit, so if you it will be harder to play during the evening, which I would not recommend. Come during the daytime.
great park for party,s and just to have fun, alot of things to do. and the price is low for the entrance kids have alott of playground and a water park .good for the family
They have two miniature golf courses at All Golf at CB Smith Park. They may tell you that one of the courses is accessible to wheelchairs, but it's really not. Only about four of the holes are truly accessible; six of the holes are in an elevated area that you reach by walking up a flight of steps; and the balance of the holes have accessibility issues like no sidewalks, wheelchairs can't get onto the "green" area to finish out the putts, etc.We saw the LivingSocial special for a round of golf, then called All Golf several times to confirm that the course was wheelchair accessible (each time they said "Yes") so we purchased the tickets. When we got to the clubhouse, they gave us our putters and pointed us toward the "accessible" course. Once we realized that between the stairs and the other design issues that the course was not wheelchair accessible, we went back to the clubhouse and asked to have a manager come out to the course and ask her about the inaccessibility. After all of that, she said that she would not refund our money. We were a group of two manual chairs and one power chair. It's really a shame that All Golf or Broward County doesn't take the time and effort to actually have someone use a wheelchair to get around the course before they mislead everyone by saying that the course is wheelchair accessible, when it clearly is not.
The water park was recently upgraded with very nice newer water slides. The park can get very busy since there are not many water attractions in the tri-county area of S.FL. Kids have fun when they go there
Applause goes to Broward County Parks, the staff of C.B. Smith Park and all involved in making this place so diverse in the activities available. This park is known for so much it's hard to say if it's best known for the famous "Chili Cook Off" or for its water park. When I was a kid (years and years ago) I remember always having a great time at the water park here, well....if I was a kid now I'd be ecstatic. You have to see this place, if you live here and haven't gone....why? If your traveling here then definitely make this a priority. The water park has been upgraded and is quite large. I'm not comparing it to a Blizzard Beach, but you will see it's a scaled down version (much scaled down...still plenty of room though) of the mega water parks. They take the operation of this facility very seriously and insure the safety of it's guests. Lifeguards are rotated (I believe every 30 minutes or less) probably to keep focused on the their job. The water areas will (and have) been closed when the unfortunate "accident" happens from a little kid (fecal matter). They work very hard to get the area open asap after an incident like that...could be seen as inconvienient, I see it as responsible.Apart from the water park, there is bike riding, boat rentals, driving ranges, picnic and camping areas (too much too list). Go check out the web page and make sure you make a trip here.
The park is very large. They have one of the biggest chili cook offs in the country with great Country music stars! The even brings a lot of people and the vendors have great items for sale. The chili cook off has prize money as well as trophies.
This is a great park, we just had our company picnic here and it was terrific. The only negative is that it took over 20 minutes to get into the park as there is an entrance fee and on a Saturday at 12 noon it took a long time to get through. The park is huge, dogs are allowed and there is a great water park for which there is an additional fee. The food at our picnic was great too and all the staff at the park office were pleasant. Great place
We drove by CB Smith Park but were instantly shocked by an admission fee at the gate. Come on! don't our taxes already pay for Broward County Parks and Recreation to maintain this park? I've seen this trend of greed lately at many Broward County PUBLIC Parks. I understand having to pay an extra fee to use the pool area or batting cages, but to pay a fee just to access the local park for kids to run around the grass? SHAME! The batting cages and golf driving range are located outside the main entrance which we did visit briefly. We WILL NOT be returning.
