This theater is worth the hour drive that it takes for me to get there. I was absolutely amazed by how great this place was. The price was great. It was only $6 a person for a double feature. Two people can see two movies and get popcorn and drinks for less than the total cost of going to a regular theater for one movie. The concession prices were amazing as well. You are able to use your car radio as the speakers for the movie by tuning to a certain channel, but we decided to use their speakers instead. It was a colder night so we stayed in the car, although many others sat in camp chairs in front of their vehicles. The sound quality from the speaker amazed me. It wasn't distorted or bad. The sound was clear and loud. After a while I forgot that it was coming from a small box mounted on my door.The image quality from the screen was perfect. I didn't notice any parts that were too dark. Nor was the screen ripped or torn anywhere. They definitely take great care of the screen. I loved my experience at the Ruskin drive in and I will be going back soon. I hope this place stays open for many more years!

The location is nice being right off Hwy. 41. This was my family's first time to this drive in. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the movie very much.It seems that this location has so much untapped potential. We have been to other drive ins and would suggest a few upgrades to this location. I would change 3 things.1. Expand the building a bit so that the bathrooms and cocession area would be a bit larger. Currently these areas are way too small.2. Increase the size of your screen and repair the non-working speakers.3. Offer better quality food. The pizzas were mass produced cardboard. The children didn't care for them. Hamburgers were pretty good but they don't have french fries or onion rings. We went to a drive-in recently in Georgia and their food was awesome. Honestly we were surprised it was so good.Now having said all this, we had a very nice time and will definitely go back....without hesitation. Kudos to the owners for keeping the place clean and family friendly along with making it available to the area as an alternative to regular cinemas. If you have never been here, do yourself a favor and go. It is a local business and should be supported. We will definitely be going more and taking our friends with us. The more the merrier. Great place for a night out with family or friends.

I moved to Ruskin in 2008 and was so excited to find an open/operating drive-in. We go often. It takes me back to my teenage years. My favorite things...being outdoors and the price!!! If you've never experienced the drive-in...you're in for a treat.

If you want to experience what entertainment and customer service was like in the '50s, you should not hesitate to visit Ruskin. This place is a truly unique, kid and family friendly atmosphere. While you can't always count on quality from Hollywood, you will be sure to have a genuine American entertainment experience here no matter what's on the screen. We will make this a must do any time we're back in the area!

The Ruskin Family Drive In is a great place to see the latest movies with your family. Fair prices all around for tickets and food.

Have been going to this drive-in since the 1970's. LOVE the family atmosphere. Concession foods are great! Priced for the family.

For the price we paid to watch two movies and concession food was well worth it. They have a great variety of food/snacks available at the concession stand. The speaker was loud/clear. We really had a great time.

See first run movies for 5 or 6 bucks and the kids get in FREE. Concession stand prices a fraction of the mainstream theaters. A few bugs in the summer but just come prepared. Ted and Karen and really nice folks. Ted has owned the Drive In for I think about 50 years. And to the guy with the bad review becuase the Drive In was not pet friendly... What same person takes their pet to the movies? I wouldn't want to walk to the bathroom and step in a pile of doggy doo!!! Highly recommend for all ages. If you've never been to a Drive In before it should be on your Bucket List.

The drive-in was a blast. Old fashioned speakers for windows, great price for tickets and the snack shack had a large selection with very reasonable prices. Great place for couples, or families.

Not pet friendly. Period. Really. Not so much. Period. Won't likely ever be back. Period. Really. Will inform all my pet loving friends of the same. Thanks, Ruskin Drive In. Theater for making this experience very vivid for us. Period.

Drove down from St. Pete to take in the drive in movie experience with our very well behaved dogs and to meet up with several of our Tampa Bay friends. We had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrive, the woman who collected our money was so nice and truly happy to have us, to the lovely concession stand. Cheese pizza was pretty good; my husband enjoyed a hot dog and some nachos. We still can't stop talking about a small movie popcorn being ONLY $2.00. We also love the authentic speaker you can attach to your car window. You can also listen to the features on your car radio if you prefer. The option is yours. The great thing about the movies all being double features if you don't really like the 1st movie there is a second one to look forward to. All in all we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend to families, young, old and with pets. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

Wonderful little family drive in. $14 for a family of four to see two movies! The staff was extremely friendly. Snacks were even affordable! Great time with family - reminder of days gone by! With these prices, no need to sneak anyone into the movies in the trunk! Just a feel good evening all the way around.

Such a lovely place for family to spend leisure time with kids & watch a movie.Clean restrooms & decent snack options (loved the cheese pizza !). Will definitely come back to watch any movies that they play. I wish they had more shows and screens.

Very nice family friendly drive-in, clean rest rooms, nice snack bar, there are not many of these treasures left.
