The Millenium Park is a beautiful peaceful place. Great for anyone wanting an outdoor experience. Nature trails, dog park and beautiful view from the lookout tower on intracoastal waterway.
nice little piece of paradise in the middle of suburbia. Three story observation deck offers expansive view of ICW. Picnic area, dog play area.
Things spotted on our visit included: American beautyberry, milkweed, ospreys, a horseshoe crab (deceased), fiddler crabs (battling each other), many mushrooms and a fast-moving gopher tortoise. Oh, and fire ants.... Watch where you walk/sit/loiter/pause/exist... I finally chose to sit ON TOP of the picnic table to eat my lunch because I was tired of being bitten.
I especially love the boardwalk, which winds around Boca Ciega bay and offers sweeping views of the intracoastal waterway, especially from the observation tower. This is a true nature park, so there are lots of rabbits, turtles, birds of every type, snakes and critters. I doubt you will see the snakes, however, but you should be alert. There are gators in the smaller ponds, so observe the 15 foot rule for distance, especially if you have dogs or small children. Excellent for photography and bird watching as well. There is a dog park with separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. There are otters in the very first pond that you'll see as you first enter the park. When you need a break from your day, take a walk on the boardwalk, inhale the salt air and feel the breezes coming in off the bay. It's a great way to recharge.
This park is great for biking and walking as well as bird-watching and photography. For those who take a little time to watch, you are likely to see warblers, catbirds and any number of wading birds as well as opsrey and other hawks. From the boardwalk, you can watch fiddler crabs scurry around on the sand, challenging each other to occasional duels. This park feels very safe and is also suitable for families who want to picnic or just enjoy nature.
Fish or sight seeing fun. Great observation too. Great place to bird watch and park has many trails to explore and a recently cleared out back section with a new board walk.
So many things to see and explore, my backyard gem~ I love taking my camera and just snapping away, especially with the views from the tower.
Wonderful park for bike riding, picnics and dog walking.there is a dog park also for your dog to play. Many pavilions for picnics. Enjoy it
Such a great park. On the intercoastal of the Gulf with boardwalks, fishing access, canoe/paddleboard access, playground, dog park and many picnic shelters.
This park, one of many in Pinellas County, is right along the bay. There are nature trails as well as boardwalk trails. And there is a 3 story lookout which has great views of the area, especially the bay. various types of wildlife are easily seen, especially wild fowl and sand crabs.
Expansive and friendly to bikers and walkers and has a nice dog park , reservations for a complete pavillion with children parties and nice restrooms, can't complain a bit.
Nice park for walking, bicycle riding, picnics and bird watching. Kayak and canoes can be put in here as well for a really nice paddle.
It's worth the climb to the top to see up and down the intercostal waterway and the barrier islands. You can see North towards Clearwater and South to St Pete Beach. The board walks offer a look at mangroves and coastal backwater critters. There are also walking paths through the park and a playground.
It is such a nice park! Has an overlook and tons of space for kids to run around and explore. I go there almost every year, love the atmosphere and the wooden trail along the water.
I enjoy this park a lot. It has a large walking trail and a 4 story observation deck.Plenty of cooking sites. It also has a playground and bike trail.
