st. augustine pirate & treasure museum

We were really impressed by how well done this attraction was, in the attention to detail, and the way the displayed items are presented. There's basically a scavenger hunt for the kids, but the adults can learn a lot from the displays. You can tell that a great measure of care was put into this museum, and I would highly recommend it, especially with kids.

We had a great time at the museum. No kids, just seniors, and we marveled at the loot and history of the pirates through time. Very hi tech and informative. Kids and adults have so much to hunt for, read, and just look at. Using interactive exhibits made it interesting. You can light a cannon, sit in a cell with earphones and listen to your fate, learn about movies that added to the lure and lies about pirates. Very interesting for all.

Being an avid photographer I was looking forward to the museum tour and getting some photos of the pirates. Being told that flash was not allowed I had to see how far I could push my new camera. What would photos look like at an astounding ASA of 64000. You be the judge.My wife cautioned me about trying to hide in the ship hold, me being claustrophobic, but we did it and enjoyed it. I bet many miss this part of the attraction.Oh yeah loved the museum, definitely would go back.

Great place to take your family. We went as a couple with my cousin. It was informational and interesting. Neat to see real pirate flag and treasure chests!

A stop on our tourist trip to St Augustine with my wife and I and another couple who spent a pleasant couple of hours. Interactive themed displays for the young and old are everywhere. The displays are unique and historically interesting. To us it was well worth the price of admission. Real pirate "treasure" is on display to pique your imagination.

The exhibits are excellent and built on the excitement of the pirate days, but I expected to see much more artifacts with less hype and more information. The price is about $12 which is a lot of money for what is there. The loud cannon ball sound could scare children.

As a 50+ year old female, I thought this was one of them" kiddy" things. Not at all! It was a great experience and to think I touched a real treasure chest! If you have an extra hour stop in! You will be glad you did.

A little too expensive for what you get to see. Crowded and and small, hard to actually be able to see exhibits. My 5 year old was terrified by the sound show, and it was hot in there. Id skip for the cost.

My honey and I had a great time wandering through. There was a lot to see, and we enjoyed it being interactive. Our only issue was because it's so kid friendly, some parents let their kids run amuck.

My daughter spotted this museum from the tower next door at the Colonial Qtr and simply had to go. I thought it was a little ridiculous because she is almost sixteen and pirates seem like a little kid thing. I couldn't have been more wrong. So much fun for any age (including me!). Lots of history of pirates, a terrific scavenger hunt for kids, hands on fun like steering the pirate ship or shooting a cannon. They even have some pirate movie memorabilia at the end (the sword from Pirates of the Caribbean and some others). I learned a lot about the history of pirates and also had fun! A must do for everyone with kids.

Loved this museum! It's somewhat small, but they cram a lot in there! There is a lot of history and interactive exhibits. Authentoc items from real pirate ships, including real pirate booty! Great for both kids and adults. One down side is the gift store if full of the typical crappy souvenir crap. Not many unique items.

This is a must visit place for those looking for historical knowledge and amusement! It's a gorgeous town, with great places to visit and also great dining options!
