My wife is the Queen of the Botanical Gardens, having been to most in the country, and she loved NBG!
This was a fun place to spend an afternoon. The animals were out on the day we visited and the zoo was presented in a different way. It was a thrill to see the giraffes, and the monkeys in their own islands.
Just arrived today until early July there are about eight large dinosaurs complete with sound and movement in parts of the Gardens. Great for children of all ages. The Gardens are very pretty and well worth seeing. The many volunteers were without exception friendly and keen to inform and make your visit worthwhile. Good cafe too.
I am a plant person and have been to a lot of Botanical Gardens. This one is very impressive for no older than it is. I love Orchids and ... this was the most Orchids in Bloom and the most varieties I have ever seen. It was truly amazing. Don't know if it is always like this or if we just hit it perfect. Orchids were all over the gardens but, there is an Orchid Garden by the restaurant that is amazing! I could blow this site up with the photo's I took there. The restaurant is better than expected. I had the BLT with Mahi Tuna. A BLT&T. Very Very good choice!Absolutely loved the children's section and butterfly house. We didn't have any kids along, it was just really well done and enjoyable for all ages. You could really spend the entire day here and not get bored.
The Botanical Garden is an oasis in an ever more urbanized region. It contains a beautiful children's area that is educational and fun, beautiful Asian gardens, a spectacular orchid pavilion, and a long trail through genuine Old Florida topography and flora. Walk on the boardwalk to the gazebo in the middle of the giant wildlife sanctuary, and chances are you'll see a giant osprey.
It's worth the price of admission to view the lovely gardens and enjoy a lovely lunch. Better yet, don't miss a special event there catered Lurcat Caterers.
Tour guides are very knowledgeable and pleasant. The gardens are well-organized and cared for, with good collections representative of many areas around the globe. The Children's Garden is delightful and well laid out, but, undoubtedly, the jewel is the Orchid Garden.....don't miss it! I recommend that you plan on at least 2 hours here....do wear comfortable walking shoes and sun protection. I would have liked to see more benches alongside the walking paths since there are many senior visitors.
We loved our visit. Took the tour, had lunch in the cafe, shopped in the gift shop and enjoyed just walking the mostly shaded paths on a hot day. The orchid garden was amazing.
This is a spectacular new botanical garden with very knowledgable volunteers and guides. The Brazilian Garden is beautifully designed, with tremendous specimens. The Asian Garden is lovely as are the orchids. The new buildings are beautifully designed and I love the sustainable building features. It was a wonderful alternative to the beach and a great afternoon.
Spectacular collection of trees, plants, and other fauna from tropical areas all over the world. Artfully and thematically arranged -- e.g., a Brazilian area, an Asian area. Nice architecture. Good cafeteria with entrees like ceviche and Boylan's soda on tap. Kid-friendly. An absolute must-see, if you're into nature at all
Well organized garden with a half dozen specialized areas featuring the plants of a specific region. A playfull children's garden was very well thought out any many kids were having a great time. Well worth a couple of hours.
We've been members for several years and spend as much time as we can here. Most of my great photos were taken at the garden and, aside from the myriad interesting trees and plants, include birds, reptiles, and insects. The recent construction has improved the garden immensely, and we look forward to the Africa and India additions. We've enjoyed the Christmas lights, guided tours, consultation with a botanist, long walks, tai chi, live music, and delicious meals. Each visit holds something different and unexpected.
The Naples Botanical Garden is well maintained, and organized around various themes. A beautiful place to spend a day. Large enough to be interesting but not so large to be unmanageable. A nice way to view the tropical delights of southwest Florida.
I came early for breakfast at the Fogg Cafe and indulged in perfect coffee and warm banana bread with honey and fruits. This is philanthropy at its best and not to be missed. The staff was helpful and interesting, the sustainable ethic in every detail. The plantings, butterflies, and children's fountain of joy rejuvenate the soul
We enjoyed our visit to the botanical garden. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the different gardens are very attractive and full of beautiful blooms. We highly recommend spending a few hours enjoying the gardens. There are several very peaceful areas where you cn sit and enjoy the view!
