I love taking my dog here to walk on the paths and watch the turtles. The park is clean and beautiful and there is a nice long path that goes all the way to the park on hammock ln
Especially enjoyed fishing on the lake. Caught some fish and too many turtles, unfortunately. Saw some awesome birds and ducks also.
We visited here while going to the market. We walked along the boardwalk and loved watching the fishermen and the boats coming in. Beautiful well maintained gardens. Well treed and shady in the heat of Florida.
Plenty of paved walking/biking trails, tennis courts, basketball and lakes where you can fish, canoe and kayak. There are a variety of workout stations along the walking trails where you can really get a workout. Benches are located throughout the park so you can sit and just enjoy the serenity of nature. The city does an good job keeping it maintained. Central Park is one of our favorite spots in Ormond Beach.
This park is not to far from where I live. It's a very pretty walk for my dogs and I. My husband has gone fishing here a few times also. It has facilities and exercise stations along the trail.
We recently kayaked through all five of the lakes in this park. Although the fish were not cooperating the day we were there, we did enjoy kayaking through the canals and under the roads. We saw several alligators and some nice birds. There are nice restrooms in the park and plenty of places to get out and walk.
We read about Central Park in a news article explaining that a project was completed connecting 5 lakes with tunnels. We took our kayak and decided to check it out. Wow...what a beautiful, peaceful place. We ventured through all the tunnels and lakes, coming to one that had a big fountain in the middle. The water was calm and wildlife abundant! There are a few kayak/canoe launch pads that are easy access. Fishing, walking trails, playground, picnic areas...great place for a day of relaxation. Not crowded at all, we came across 3 people on paddle boards and that's it! Next time we will taking our fishing poles!
