Small bar with food available through a food van at least on the night we were there. Saw a band in a very intimate setting with limited seating. Perfect spot to see niche bands. Check their schedule to discover some interesting groups. There was a cover of $15 to see a great out of state band. I believe that the cover varies according to how established the band is or if anyone has actually heard of them. The size of the room greatly enhances the musical experience. Hate concert hall/arena shows where you watch the show on a jumbotron or need binoculars.
Great little place, cool vibe, awesome tap list, great staff great service. If you're looking for good live blues, jazz, rock, and an awesome selection of micro brews, drop by! Awesome up and coming place, great owner, and great value.
Unbelievable talent! Great Happy hour and owner. First visit and I will return. Small and quaint, all you need. Don't miss it.
If you enjoy eclectic, this joint is for you. Originally built in 1930's as a Prohibition era juke joint, it still has its bones. When you walk through the door, you know you are in a groovy joint. It reminds me of a beatnik coffee house of the 60's. The kind of joint Bob Dylan would have played. The bandstand is front and center with good stage lights and sound booth. All good. When the lights dim and music kicks, you will think you are in the Bronx. My hat is off to the owner, because he has a vision and is willing to share it. So grab a beer, pull up a stool, and enjoy some great music without fear of the Feds kicking in the door. Play it again, Sam.
This is a wonderful experience. The best in Delray Beach. Do not miss this on your next visit. Also try the Office.
Wow, what a cool little Venue.. I have been here 3 times now and I must say Quality music, service and selection. Delray Beach tends to be a little stuffy sometimes with such a variety of highend eateries. Don't get me wrong Delray is a Foodies Paradise... but then I found this cool new spot. Unpretentious, edgy, and hip... The antiques are so cool and the room is intimate. I love seeing live music here. The Sunday Blues sessions are incredible, and this place gets packed on Friday and Saturdays. This is my new spot...
After reading all the hype and reviews on their Facebook page, I was a kinda disappointed. There's nothing that struck my as particularly vintage about the place. I don't know exactly what I expected, but basically to feel like I'd been transported back in time when I walked in the door. That didn't happen. It's just a big barren room with a small stage and a bar against the back wall. There's outdoor seating too, but I only spent about 5 minutes out there and that was well before the band started. All that said, they do have a decent beer selection.and the prices are reasonable. The crowd vibe is good. It was very nice to not feel like a creepy old guy thrown in with a bunch of 20 somethings all looking to hook up.We went to see Have Gun Will Travel. For my taste, the volume was too high to the point where the music became distorted and it was a little hard to hear the people around me. The place is super tiny, so I don't know if there's anything to be done about that. Maybe going acoustic? It would be perfect for, say, a jazz trio or some old school blues like Bessie Smith or a a lounge singer like James Darren. *Those* would be vintage. The conch, rib, and crab shack right next door will deliver to the bar if you walk over and place an order. Can't speak to the seafood, but the ribs were incredible. I don't know how late they stay open.Overall, I did have good time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back unless I heard the music, or some aspect of the place, was going to actually be vintage.
Glad to know there is a new local music venue in Delray. The bar has tons of craft beers on tap and reminds me of my favorite, old college bar in PA. No frills, a good ole' bar with beer, liquor and a good vibe. I always dig local, live music and this will be a staple for me for years to come.
