Parking is available across A1A and bathrooms near the beach provide the best with a very large beach area on the Atlantic Ocean.....weekend parking is a squeeze but you can drop your friends on the beach side entry and then go parking spot hunting...good luck between 11 and 3 over the weekends, though..if all else fails drive north on A1A and go to valet at Bostons and hang out in the downstairs or outside bar..make new friends and ask your dropped off friends at the beach....to text you when they need to be picked up....

Our son is in an electric wheel chair and I needed to find a place that he could watch the ocean and beach while I helped my wife look for shells. This is the best free place I found. The bathrooms are accessible and clean. That is a surprise for a public place. The boardwalk down to the beach was great. This is a nice section of beach and was quite. We felt safe as other families were in the same area. There was plenty of room to sit and watch the waves.

All of the beaches in this area are outstanding and this is no exception. Get there early to get parking in the metered lot across the street.

Handicapped accessable, this pavilion and beach area is highly treed and has thick vegetation. Private, quiet and serene.

The parks along the Atlantic in this part of Florida take on a little more quiet. A few less people. The sand is more compact, darker, heavier. You get the dunes, and even a little sea grass. It's even peaceful.

This is a wonderful place to visit. Do not miss this on your next visit to Delray Beach. This is a quaint and unique park.

Very Nice beach, washrooms available if you want to change yourselves. Fresh water showers outside. They also rent chairs and sunbrella. I even saw a rooster fish hunting 15 feet from the beach !

The only downfall of this beach is the limited parking situation during peak season. However, it is superbly located, a very short walk from the parking lot, and simply beautiful. Extremely clean beach to swim, walk on and just relax. It is not crowded especially in comparison to the beaches south and Delray Beach at Atlantic Blvd and A1A. If you want a serene beach with great access, cleanliness and small amount of people, GO Here!!! CJ Lamarca, former resident

Great beach, always clean and enjoyable. You can stay to the north which is guarded or stroll 20 yards south where is it unguarded and no worries if you want to fish, play Frisbee, or most anything else.

It may sound funny but I love Delray Beach for everything it isn't as much for what it is. It isn't Miami Beach, etc. It's a beautiful, comfortable and easily accessible beach in its own rite...

Atlantic Dunes Park has short nature trails, clean water, beautiful sand and outstanding swimming. The police and lifeguards who patrol the park are quite friendly and provide a comfortable atmosphere of safety. However there is one thing that detracts from all of these positives, the beach, unlike other further south in Boca Raton allows smoking. We had the disgusting experience to be near groups of heavy smokers who used this beautiful beach as a giant ashtray. i guess it was just bad luck but when we changed locations the next group to take up residence near us practiced the same habits. We decided to spend more time at the Red Reef Beach which like so many places is now smokeless.. I believe that Atlantic Dunes is far superior to any other public beach in the area. It is my hope that the powers to be will join the "wave" that is now making ever increasing numbers of beaches smoke-free.

Our visit to the Atlantic Dunes Park was on New Years Day 2014. After finding a place to park and paying (1.50/hr) we made our way to the beach. It is a little walk so we didn't pack too much to carry. The beach is big enough that you can find your own little piece of sand and spread out. We found some neat shells and even got some pictures of jelly fish that came in with the waves. My 2 older boys loved the waves, and were okay as long as they stayed within the lifeguards limits. My youngest son was content to stay closer to shore. This beach is a great place to enjoy sun, sand, and family without being crowded into others space. We'll definitely be going back!

Nice local beach with lifeguards and well posted signs for surfand jelly fish etc. Go early in season or the parking lots fill up quickly and you would have to park over the Intracoastal and walk over.

This beach is absolutely stunning! Gorgeous tropical plants on edge of the dunes. The water was crystal clear and like bath water in August, and we saw many beautiful colorful fish as well as a ray. The beach is wider and the sand more of a beige gray due to the recent dregging. I found about 100 shells, many conch and olive shells along the seashore and in the sand. I believe these are also a result of the recent sand dregging. Still, they were pretty spectacular! Like being in paradise!

Our sons recently moved to Delray Beach so we visited and decided to check out the beach. The main con to this beach (and frankly most others on the east coast of South Florida) is the parking. It is across A1A, and costs $1.50 per hr, which is reasonable, but given the size of the beach, come "season" there will never be enough parking. However, there were ample spots today, in August on a weekend. The wooden walkway winds thru the mangroves and is shaded and pretty. There are restroom facilities, picnic tables, trash and recycling bins, and a bike rack. There are also umbrellas and chairs for rent. The pleasant surprise was the size of the beach.......HUGE! There is also a lifeguard on duty. This is the beach to go to in Delray!
