I have reviewed this place before and recently went again, since I live in downtown Jax and people always want to find great local places to visit. I always send them here because its a mecca for food, arts, music, fun and great shopping and people watching. Market hours are cut in January and February, but during the season they stay open till 4PM. Food is wonderful-if the brick oven pizza people are around, try the Avondale-its fabulous! The knishes are great and so is the she-crab soup. If there isn't enough to interest you here, its a short stroll down Riverside to the Cummer Museum and Gardens (beautiful in summer).
In January and February, the market closes at 1 PM and has fewer vendors than the rest of the year. Just a heads-up. There's plenty else to do within walking distance of the Arts Market so it's still a worthwhile part of a half-day trip to Riverside area.
Barely a dozen vendors and no really good produce vendors at all. Hard to find hard to park and really not worth the hassel.
I enjoy riding my bike to the market and shopping for vegetables. They usually have a good musical group playing and other fun acts like magic shows, dancers flame twirlers and lots of great food.
This is a great place to see local artist/artisans along with entertainment. Good family fun especially around the holidays!
great food at the market to eat now and take home later. olives, honey and typical farmers market vegetables and the like mixed with art and weekly events. Depends on the time of year what you will find.
I always love coming back to Jacksonville and experience the taste, smells and art that can be found under one of the Jacksonville bridges. I especially love to visit this place early in spring when you do not have to spend hours outside in the heat. It often hosts young performers that play on the stage nearby. When visiting please check the calendar as the market is not held every Saturday.
Visited for the first time. Vendors sell local items which is very good. Market was okay but there were lots of food vendors and all the food looked amazing. Would def return just to have lunch there. Also they have a local band playing and tables set out by the water. Very nice to spend a saturday afternoon.
We drove to the market and the banner was up but no market. I guess it is not every Saturday. Luckily we stopped at the Jacksonville farmers market and bought produce and seafood before coming here.
We attend the RAM almost every Saturday but this week was really special. If was full of festivities and fun. 150 vendors for Christmas fun. The performers and music were fantastic. The vendors were filled with happy gifts. My favorite Greek vendor won my vote for best food. Pura Bean had samples of coffee and we purchase some to take home. The owner was selling his wonderful brews. Good job RAM for another fun successful event.
Loved the food booths and the variety of crafts, kids entertainment fun. Bigger than I expected. Parking not great. Lots of walking.
Great place to hang out with friends and enjoy the market. Lots of food vendors and produce as well as local art. Live music was playing as well.
I had so much fun here with friends. Arts, crafts, music by the water, delicious snacks. Supporting local art. What more could you ask for?
This is a wonderful market to discover new artists, enjoy a musical performance, and grab some fresh produce. There's plentiful parking (and free) nearby and some worthy causes exhibiting each Saturday. Definitely check it out!
I love going there on relaxing Saturdays! Food is good! Veggies and fruits are freshly picked ! Band is located under the bridge is cool enjoyable setting to enjoy the music and eat! A must visit in Jacksonville
