We played the Creek course and the links. While most people will say the creek course is nicer, they are just quibbling. If you're from the north, you will wish you could play this course everyday. Loved it!
The Ocean Course is great this time if year (Fall). The course is in great shape, the staff is very courteous and accommodating. My wife is a new golfer and they were gracious enough to allow us to play as a twosome to accommodate us. We also played at the Conservatory Course 20 minutes away, and the transfer service between courses for our clubs worked great.
The links is a nice course, it is scenic has some challenge and is very well kept. The second course at this club is world class. The links falls short of that but still very good.
With the Links course and the Creek course Hammock Dunes is likely the premier east coast oceanside development between Sea Island and John's Island. Both courses, one by Rees Jones and one by Tom Fazio, are challenging but playable by golfers of all skill levels. I have had the pleasure of playing both courses many times and can unreservedly recommend this place.
This is a beautiful, lush course although, trickier than it looks! Several holes have spectacular views of the Atlantic. A treat to play on a calm day, a challenge in the wind! Don't turn down an opportunity to play here!
Not a golfer, but have had the opportunity to go out with golfersas a cart driver. It's a beautiful course and when you come up to the ocean view, it is truly spectacular.
This is Hammock Dunes "in the development" course. So it has homes, condos, villas, etc. around it. If you prefer solitude and no homes, etc. go to their Creek course. If you prefer a finely manicured course, some nice views of pretty nice homes, and a few peaks @ the ocean, try this Fazio course. I think it plays easier than their Creek course if that is of concern. It's private, so you gotta' get your Pro or someone to get you on, but you won't regret playing here (or the Creek).
Hammock Dunes is one of the finest private residential communities in all of Florida. Combining two world-class golf courses, including the unique Creek Course, it is a spectacular place to live and to dine. Chef Hall is one of less than two-hundred Certified Master Chiefs in the country and the menu and food served reflect that talent in every detail. Come as a guest and you will be quickly won over by this top-drawer Platinum Club
The course is well planned and overlooks the ocean, lending itself to lovely breezes.
It is a wonderful golf course. Extremely beautiful vistas, a real pleasure to play the course.
A really beautiful course in a gated community. It is private, but I had the opportunity to play with a friend employed there. The house are like hotels, what a layout! Everything you would enjoy about golf is at this course. True greens well kept fairways & ruff, even had the opportunity to see an alligator grab & eat a water bird. If you know a member who can take you go you won't be sorry, was not sure if I should have written this review as it is closed to the public. But if you ever have the privilege to play this course do yourself a favor. Hope you enjoy it ad much as I did.
The Hammock Dunes Links Course is a wonderful ocean front golf course. A great test for the low handicap golfer, but a special pleasure for all. Always in excellent condition with beautiful teeing grounds and fairways; but most memorably, a truly magnificent set of greens. The course requires a variety of shots, but all fair and fun to play. If you have a chance to play here, find the time! If you are thinking about Florida, take a look here. Hammock Dunes is a special place.
Tom Fazio did a superb job designing this seaside masterpiece! Several holes overlook the Atlantic Ocean with some breath taking views. The designer's windswept layout offers exceptional playability for all levels, but when the wind is blowing, the back tees are quite a challenge. The course was in excellent condition; highlighted by the best greens in north Florida.
Hammock Dunes Links Course is a pleasure to play. Challenging and fair with wide fairways and greens that are fun to putt. The views are beautiful and when the breeze picks up off the Atlantic you appreciate just how special it is to play by the sea. This hidden gem should be on your list of courses to play.
Tom Fazio did a splendid job crafting the Links Course, winding through the Hammock Dunes community and up to the Atlantic Ocean. Nice, tight par 4's, long, testing par 3's, and picturesque par 5's. A joy to play, both for the golf and the scenery. Make sure you line up a member if you're passing through or, better yet, make it a destination. If you do, you most probably will find yourself living here !!
