I just recently became acquainted with place because my daughter began taking lessons. The staff was very nice and professional. I ended up taking lessons as well. Its a pretty place with a friendly atmosphere.
The course was in good condition - greens might have been cut a little tighter but still very nice. Fairways in excellent shape and tees were nice and flat. The service was exceptional from the outside to the pro shop - everyone made us feel welcome. The course itself represents a good challenge and is interesting. It's certainly one that I'd like to play again.
We have always used this club for our Saturday golf when our course was closed or reservations not available. It is fun course to play. It can be a challenge for all. The club house is small but beer and a hot dog is the best.
Both the restaurant and golf course are just so-so; nothing to get excited about. The Palm Harbor Golf Club is subsidized by Palm Coast taxpayers and has never made money since it reopened about 4 years ago.
we were in the palm coast area on vacation--called around to get rates fordifferent courses--they said if i golfed after 2:00 rates would be 30.00 for me and 10.00 for my 12 year old grandson--i said put me down--the people in the clubhouse were super nice!! my grandson lost one of his clubs and it was returned to us before starting the back nine--the course was in great shape--i will be back to golf here on the next visit--keep up the great work!!
Palm Harbor Golf Course just went through possible town course changes and luckily the town decided to keep the excellent staff in all areas of the course...have played at this course for 3 years and can not help but congratulate the managers and Pro who have kept this course a friendly, efficient, club through these times when golf is losing many followers.......The course does have some holes that need improving around and on the greens.....but the staff , chef, pro and attitude keeps all of us coming back.....If in the Palm Coast area try this course ......worth your time in all ways...peachtree12
Played Palm Harbor for the first time and got really good rates- $19.00 for 18 with a cart - after 1:00. Course is nice, but homes are in abundance and fairly close to some fairways. Fairways are a bit narrow on some holes with some deep bunkers making it more challenging than I am accustomed to. Friendly and helpful staff and course was not overly crowded making for a nice pace of play. A lot closer than courses in St.Augustine or Bunnell makes it a real bargain.
Have played in the past and it's the best bargain in the area. Course is on good shape, but the greens are very slow and bumpy. I was suppose to play with a the some but they told me to go out on my own. Not too happy about that since I would rather play with somebody and I didn't skit of time waiting. Will still return when I'm in the area.
We've played Palm Harbor once or twice a month for the past several years. Sometimes it's well maintained, other times not so much. The greens often have rough patches that throw off your putting. This week one green is entirely off limits, and you have to putt into a circle drawn with chalk on the apron grass. Next week the greens will be aerated, making putting impossible for ten days, but that's pretty standard for Florida courses. Lots of sand hazards on every hole and a few water hazard holes, not to mention nice rolling hills, which keeps it interesting. Fairways are pretty narrow, but if you're not accurate you can usually retrieve your ball from the adjacent hole. Choose from four tee options on every hole. The course is shorter than some, which makes it a good course for hackers. It's not marshalled during the week, and sometimes you can end up behind people who have no clue about keeping the game moving. On several occasions our electric cart battery has died somewhere on the back nine, and we've had to phone the clubhouse to bring a replacement. They just got new carts, so maybe this will eliminate that issue. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but we were very unhappy when they messed up our reservation this week. We'd confirmed for 2 pm, but when we arrived they told us we were scheduled two hours later. Upon researching the discrepancy, they verified that we did indeed schedule for 2:00, but the computer apparently bumped us elsewhere due to a tournament the same afternoon. No one ever notified us of the change. We couldn't accept a different time slot because we had dinner reservations after golf. So we were given the option of still playing at our original time if we were willing to play just nine holes, or play the back nine twice. We settled for the latter but obviously weren't happy about it. We were offered consolation of two future rounds for just the cart fee, but I think the round we played should have been comped on the spot due to their error and our serious inconvenience. After paying, we had to hunt for the cart attendant for five minutes before we could secure our cart. The clubhouse is small, with a tiny retail shop and small dining area. The food menu is very limited. If you plan to eat before you golf, allow lots of time because orders are cooked one at a time and the wait can be extensive. We've played nicer courses in the same price category, but Palm Harbor is ten minutes from home, making it very convenient. If we had to drive any distance, I doubt we'd play here.
I had the chance to play this course for the first time while on a recent vacation to FL and must say I was impressed. The fairways are fairly tight so your drive off the tee must be decently accurate or you will be on the beach (sand bunkers) most of the round. The course plays short so if you normally play the white tees at your home course you will likely want to play the green tees here. Speaking of the greens they roll real nice. Kind of slow on my visit but they roll pretty true if you are adept at reading green breaks. The rates were reasonable and the staff did their utmost to make sure you were treated well. Being as I was a solo player and arrived at the course without a tee time they were very gracious in setting me up with a twosome to play with within a timely manner. A course I will definitely return to play again the next time I am on vacation in that area.
This is a nice course, quite tight off the tee, plenty of well positioned bunkers and also water on various holes. Tees the best I experienced in Florida this trip, also good greens. Not the longest course but plenty of tee options to suit all standards. Well drained, it had been raining quite a lot before our visit and it played well, much better than the Grand Club, Pines course which was pretty much waterlogged in a number of areas. Clubhouse not very exciting but then that doesn't bother us. 4 hours 20 minutes the norm for our rounds, played there 3 times in all and good value
I enjoyed several rounds of golf at Palm Harbor during my most recent stay in the Palm Coast area. I found the course to be in good condition, overall. It offers a challenge for golfers of all skill levels, and even has a couple drivable par 4's. The fairways were, for the most part, very generous; greens challenging, and there were several notable "high risk-high reward" holes that offered loads of trouble if you didn't place your tee shots in the fairway or weren't accurate with your mid-irons. Overall, it is a very enjoyable course for the money. I always make it a habit to play there when I'm in the area, and have never been disappointed with the Palm Harbor Golf Club.
First time there and already can't wait to go back and play again. I'm actually writing a review and that never happens. I give the staff, the course layout and play ability, and upkeep for this time of year ( any time of year for that matter ) 5 stars. The greens and tee boxes were almost neon in color. Amazing shape for the end of January. Well done !
The course offers a variety of hole shots and interesting mix of water and bumker shots. The personnel were friendly and helpful throughout the round. The course was in good condition with some areas needed attention fairway bare spots and tee boxes. Overall a good value and a course worth playing.
Challeging par 72 golf course. Brand new golf carts just arrived. Food very good. Water and ice availabel. Practice facility available. They also have nice chipping area from grass to green and also sand traps to green. There is also a huge putting green.
