It has a small walking and fishing pier and a play fountain for children. Whenever there are little ones here, they are having a lot of fun getting soaked. The view is nice and you have a good chance of seeing manatees, dolphins and lots of boats from here, depending on the season and the day. Weekends are good to watch boats pass by, to be sure. It is possible to bring a book and sit along the rim of the Intracoastal Waterway, or sit and chat, or just stare across the river. I sometimes ride my bike here and peer out over the water for a while.

Tons of restaurants to dine near by. Great for anyone any age. Seating areas and also water fountains for the kids to play in.

This great restaurant has closed permanently. Area will be developed by a private club. Sad!! Hopefully the point and park are not badly impacted. We will see if the city makes good decisions or money wins.

Usually visit the park in the summer for the kids to play in the fountains, but we visited it in the evening. Impressive overlooking the river and the lights off the bridge!!

Royal Palm Pointe Park is a beautiful spot to take in the scenery, restaurants, shops AND also a great place to take the kids to play in the ground fountain. If it's hot and the kids want a safe place to cool off, take them to the fountain at the end of Royal Palm Pointe. You can sit and watch your child interact with other children as they splash around in the fountains that come up from the ground. You don't have to worry about your child's inability to swim. It's just streams of cool water springing up through the ground area that they can run around in. If you are a grownup; you can walk out onto the pier behind the fountain and watch the boats and river. It can be a relaxing place to sit and take in the beauty of Vero Beach or to let the kids run free and cool off.

Located on the pointe in Vero Beach, it has water, sand, facilities, water fountain. Their is gym set, volleyball, picnic tables. Plenty of birds, ducks, canadian geese, egyptian geese, squirrels. Just a tranquel park with palms, trees, landscape.

This is a little gem in Vero Beach.......well worth the visit, no admission and a wonderful, kid friendly "jumping fountains" for children to enjoy and cool off during the hot summer days. A fishing dock close to the water's surface makes landing fish rather easy.......if they're biting! Food and drinks are steps away at Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty.

The fountains at the end of the "point" are a blast for young and old alike. You will be lured in the water by all the screaming smiling kids running about through the many jets of liquid refreshment. Fun for everyone and a nice river view.

I really like this park as it has a nice view that gets better the more you head out towards the point on the river. You can watch the dolphins (right there in the river quite frequently), you can fish in the river from the bank and is a nice place to relax and enjoy the fresh air. My favorite is that it is never crowded and, since it is at a dead-end in the road, there is no traffic or much noise, making it a relaxing park setting.

Parked on the east side of Merrill Barber bridge and walked over it, and then went left on Indian River Blvd. took another left onto Royal Palm Blvd. to Royal Palm Point Park. It was a nice place to stop, take in the view and rest up before going back over the bridge.

If you just want to sit around and do nothing for free, this is the place to do it in Vero Beach. The park is on a headland in the Indian River Lagoon across from the Riverside Park.Because it is much smaller than its neighbor it's is much less frequented, so you can get peace here. On a sunny day (when isn't it sunny here?) the views are spectacular and the sounds from the fountain just caps it off.

Wish the had left it like it was with the old bridge. There was a quaint little motel-marina with sea food restaurant & bait shop. It is a beautiful place now, but with character and kinda sterile, sad.

My kids love the place, and have fun with the picnic qe usually take, is a must everytime we go to Vero.

We stopped in after dinner and I wasn't expecting this. What a beautiful mosaic water feature for young (and old) to cool off in. It was dusk and the water was off but it was nice just the same.

This is where the old Vero Drawbridge (West side) use to be. When they put in the new bridge and demolished the old one they put in this park. It would have been much better if they had improved the area around the old bridge and made a park on the West Side. they put the New Bridge in so the "Yachts" could pass. There is no shade here and they are constantly debating whether to charge for this or not. Great for kids - no so much for adults.
