What a wonderful experience we had last night at the Kravis Center. It was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprised to see that there was a free parking garage that was in walking distance to City Place with all of its shops and restaurants. The Kravis Center is easily managed, the signage is excellent and Dreyfoos Hall where the ballet was presented is large, comfortable and perfect for this type of performance.I don't know what words to use for the Moscow City Ballet's performance of Swan Lake. There did not seem to be a live orchestra, but one could hardly tell the difference. The dancers were superb, conveying emotion through their dance that was visible all the way from the back of the Grand Tier where we were seated. The costumes were vibrant and enhanced the performers steps and leaps. The sets were well done, but the personnel were the highlight of this incredible presentation.
We keep going to the Kravis Center, its comfortable, beautiful for performing arts. They offer plenty of free parking. Every section has very good seats. We went as the urban cool to see Ramsey Lewis and Philip Bailey. Ramsey the Jazz pianist, and Grammy winner 1965, "The in Crowd". Philip the quest Vocalist, longtime member, Earth, Wind, & Fire. It cost $50. each and was a very good evening.
This was our first time to Kravitz Center at West Palm Beach, Florida and the experience was surprisingly pleasant. It is relatively easy to get to facility and there is plenty of parking. If you are going to the evening performance, it is recommended that you get there a couple of hours ahead and make reservations for dinner if you want to eat at a fancy restaurant walking distance from parking. There are also many fast food places near by. You can also grab some thing to eat within the center which is convenient. The theater itself is very good acoustically and seating is comfortable. The staff is very professional. You enjoy Broadway experience at Florida which is great.
have been to Kravis 4 times in the last 5 months and have had seats in the first balcony, loge, and the orchestra twice...not even a hint of a poor seat....will give up one our other season series venues to go strictly with Kravis.
I have been to the Kravis Center 4 times in the past 6 months. Each time I have sat in a different section. No matter where you sit you will have an amazing view so don't be afraid of the higher up seats. Some shows were actually better up top. The venue has free parking in their garage and valet if you need someone to park for you. They serve drinks and some snacks before the shows and during the intermissions. Highly recommend this venue for any of your performance arts needs. Always a wonderful time.
What a beautiful & well run venue. We had the pleasure of viewing a performance of The Nutcracker at Dreyfoos hall December 27th. It is a lovely building. We were greeted at the door with a salutation and a smile. Every member of the staff that we encountered presented themselves in a respectable and professional manor. The bathrooms are clean and I applaud the kravis center for installing those marvelous automatic sanitary seat covers in the ladies restroom! What a pleasure! We had a magnificant evening and, if giving the chance, we would return for another performance. :)
I attended a performance of the St. Petersburg (Russia) State Symphony Orchestra, and while the music was excellent (a wonderful performance of Shostakovich’s Symphony # 5), the setting itself was the star. The orchestra hall is one of the most attractive modern settings for classical music in the U.S., and the acoustics are also excellent. Seats are pricey but not beyond the normal for high-end concert halls. I especially liked the informal eating options offered in the Kravis Center itself; wish we could do something like this in Pittsburgh. The only thing I didn’t like about the Kravis Center was the apparently accepted habit of walking out while the performance is still underway, in the middle of symphonic movements. This must have happened a dozen times! For all the showy wealth on display at Kravis (even Rolls-Royces in the parking lot), this habit is not only un-classy but disrupts everyone else’s enjoyment of the music.
It was the first time we'd ever seen a concert at the Kravis Center and my husband and I were very impressed. The place is beautiful! And I didn't feel out of place being all dressed up...it seems everyone pretty much dresses up when seeing a show here. There were plenty of staff to help us find our seats and every seat in the place had a great view. We were on the balcony and we could see and hear everything just fine. They also have a little cafe and beverage counter on the 2nd floor. It is pretty exspensive...$3.50 for a soda...but other than that eveything was great! Has a north and south entrance, valet parking and parking garage available, and a bathroom on each level. The Kravis Center is also only about a half mile from Clematis street so we opted to park at the nearby Publix open lot and walk there. Will definately be back.
The show which has been performed over the years in many different locations in many states was so wonderfully done. The actors, the stage, the clothing was so great. The songs were as usual memorable and you left the theater with a wonderful feeling.
South Florida has many beautiful theaters to visit with the Kravis Center being no exception. This is a beautiful theater that is easy to access from the north or the south. The night we attended was a near sold old performance, but the valet parking was quick and organized and all the staff inside the theater were friendly and helpful. The will call line was really long, but moved quickly and efficiently. If making a night of it, there are plenty of outstanding restaurants close by to enjoy before the show making for a wonderful night out. I look forward to returning to this lovely theater again.
We have been season ticket holders for several years and have enjoyed this venue and the performances it presents. The support team at in the Box Office is professional and courteous, and ushers are always willing to assist with a smile.
We buy the series of shows and go about once a month. If you get on the mailing list and give a small donation youcan buy your tickets before the public does. Not always the best seats in the house but better before than after.
The Colors of Christmas performance was something to remember for both young and old and was an amazing surprise for us. The venue and relaxed atmosphere made it more special. I have not been in Florida for the winter in some time and looking forward as there inspiring performances and tons of festive activities the week after Thanksgiving.
Came here to see Don McLean and found that Judy Collins was on with him. What a great evening. Kravis Centre is a truly magnificent venue with good acoustics. Staff were polite and seating is good.
Beautiful building. Staff always courteous & welcoming. Bar is expensive, but you can't have everything.
