Was approach by a black dude that tried to hold my ID, the crazy thing was I was with my Caucasian friends and I was the only one singled out . His reply was "I can do whatever he wants because I can call immigration on you"!!! Ignorance, Then a white guy came up to us, a manager or something and told me to take off my hat, I did because I thought there was no hats allowed, he stood there for 30 seconds and then try to tell me the same thing the black guy to me. I took my ID back and cursed them out. Never again!!!
We had a fantastic day spent on South Beach and were looking for a place to go have a few drinks. Mango's definitely stood out in comparison to the other bars and night clubs in the area with all the entertainment going on in and out of this place. There was such a festive atmosphere in there that made you feel like you were in different country. This place was also huge with several different floors and bars. We did pay a fairly high price for one corona but it was worth it for the experience!
Okay wait, we were highly recommended by our Consier at the Miami Beach resort and spa to absolutely come here. I swear the guy must get either kickbacks sending visitors and or be a part owner, be that as it may.So we walked from 4900 to 8th street on the beach for an hour or two by then we were definitely e hungry and thirsty. As you know south beach is wild and uncontrollable with all kinds of characters so we were bound to end up with some craziness during our late afternoon lunch. We found the place, got seated outside weather was nice and we had a feast of visual entertainment from all walks of life passing by our table, drinks were good food was mediocre touching on lame but I didn't expect any better since the menu was a mile long with no specialty to even center to what they pride on.As we closed out, received the bill and this where we got shocked by the sticker. The waiter did not inform us that we are going to pay for our "specialty" glasses not did she inform us that the drinks was each going to be $4.50 extra after the 1st drink. This was revealed in our check when I noticed 2 drinks were $11.40 and the other 2 were $15.90. Same drinks and when asked why the price difference the manager told me its for the glasses which we didn't want.So you ask why I'm giving them 1star I wish there was an option to give them a zero. Because they lied to us and on top of that they even included 18% gratuity without pointing this out to us. I was prepared to give the kid 15% tip had I not triple check the receipt she would have received a 30% tip for doing a very poor job.Bottom line check your receipts
I've been to Miami many times and every time we go we have to stop and eat and have cocktails there. My favorite is the coconut mojito hmm. Lots of entertainment while you eat and drink. Dancers on the bar with costumes especially at night. It turns into a nightclub late nite! I love this place!!!
We were the group of 7 people and went in the afternoon when it was just opening. The ambience is awesome and they really make tasteful drinks. we drank Long Island Ice Tea which was sexy. The best dish was spring onion- I have never eaten better then this. I hope the night times its on fire. Beautifully located and Indian and definitely njoy during night. The prices are reasonable at par with Indian Lounges.
We were walking and heard the live band playing Reggae and jazz. Awesome. The band was very good and we stayed as long as possible until it was time to change over to the live dance show (clean dancing fool) :} it was a little hard to get a drink because the bartenders were very busy and I didn't see any waitresses floating around.
Went to Mango around 10pm and ended up leaving around 3:30am having had a fantastic time. Great shows, great crowd, good music variety - just a good time all around with lots of interesting people-watching opportunities as well.
My boyfriend and I chose to come here to dance off some cocktails one night. We weren't appropriately dressed to go to one of the fancier SoBe clubs, but we had a great time at Mangos all the same. My one complaint would be that we were there around 11am and the DJ refused to put on modern dance music till the place filled up more and stuck with Latin music even though no one was dancing. They should cater more to the crowd. Very fun if it's not too crowded.
Went to Mango’s for dinner and the show. People were friendly, show was great and food was awesome. - Festive crowd, party atmosphere, open late till 5am.- Located on Ocean Drive, the heart of everything.- Main dance floor, with a stage in the middle for the show performers throughout the night.- They play good Latin music - salsa, tropical vibes, and some bachata, and merengue. - The drinks were small, but strong. Average Miami price for well drinks - $12-$15. Food prices were reasonable given the area. Gratuity is included in everything in Miami.- There is a VIP section and an outdoor patio area with full service tables if you want to enjoy the music and hang out with friends, have a conversation you can hear, or people-watch. Mango's was fun and loved the show. Would definitely go back. South Beach is definitely party city. South Beach doesn't sleep. Very diverse area. Lots to do and lots of fun.
South Beach is always poppin', so if you're looking for a lively crowd, look no further. I visited on New Year's Day, and this club was live, even on a holiday when everything else was closed. South Beach doesn't sleep. Or need time to recover, apparently. Here are my thoughts:PROs:- Festive crowd, party atmosphere, open late till 5am.- Located on Ocean Avenue, the "Nightclub Strip" of South Beach. - Always crowded, lots of entertainment in and out of the clubs, and friendly people. - There is a main dance floor, with a stage in the middle that highlights dance or song performers throughout the night.- If you are feeling shy, you can join the crowd of on-lookers leaning over the upstairs railings, gawking at the dancers below. - The band is actually upstairs behind an open railing, playing just above the stage. - They play good Latin music - salsa, tropical vibes, and some bachata, and merengue. - A second, smaller dance floor upstairs plays a variety of hip hop, reggaeton, etc. - The drinks were small, but strong. Average Miami price for well drinks - $12.- There is an outdoor patio area with tables and drink waitresses outside in front of the club if you aren't into the dance club scene, but want to enjoy the music and hang out with friends, have a conversation you can hear, or people-watch. - Dress in South Beach is generally casual, beachy. There are no dress codes, so you'll see many people in shorts, T-shirts, and tennis shoes or flip flops. But there was an equal number of men dressed in nice jeans and trendy T-shirts, button-up shirts with belts and casual-dressy shoes, and women dressed in jeans, skirts, blouses, casual sundresses and sandals, and club dresses with heels. Most people were casual, though no one seemed to bat an eye at those who dressed more snazzy. CONS:- They play good Latin music, but to a party crowd, so you won't find any Latin dancers among these crowds. - If you are not already staying in South Beach or Miami Beach, it can be quite far from downtown Miami or the airport. South Beach is 20 minutes from downtown Miami and 40 minutes from the airport. Taxi prices in Miami will run you about $1 a mile, so unless you have a car, you should plan your transportation ahead of time. Taxis are very hard to find between the hours of 6am and 10am. There is a bus from the airport direct to Miami / South Beach for $2.25, but it only runs 3 times at night after 7pm or 8pm. If you're looking for a club with several floors and small rooms with different music options, Twist, the gay club in South Beach, is your go-to. Always a good time there. If you are looking for the Latin dance crowd, I recommend Macumba north west of the airport, or La Covacha in Doral, but both are very far from South Beach, so unless you have a car, or a group to split the taxi, it wouldn't be feasible to go there. In sum, Mango's is one of the best party clubs in South Beach. I rated it 3 stars because I feel many clubs in other cities that are also well known for their nightlife, are much more impressive (Las Vegas, Cancun, Mexico, etc). Hope that helps! Have fun and be safe!
Head to mango's if you are looking to get out of the beach and want to have fun. They have different rooms playing different music for all kind of crowds. Really enjoyed their dance performances.
I was in town for business with over 100 of my coworkers. We kept hearing about this place so I decided to go on my last night in town. The atmosphere was incredible. The people watching didn't disappoint. The staff/dancers were top notch. Can't remember if it was expensive or not since it was on my expense account. I highly recommend this place.
Fun! This is the place you hear about... My advice, arrive early & leave early! I sense one could easily get in trouble here late in the wee hours! Getting here will take some work as you are constantly being approached by staff from surrounding restaurants as you make your way to Mangos!
Good music part dj part live, great dancers. Not much of people dancing, so we spend the night watching various dancers on all sort of latin rhythms. Good pricey drinks. And a little bit of rush from waiters to continue drinking. Overall I would go back next time
Had an awesome time here!! Even though drinks ar pretty expensive it is absolutely spectacular, great music, nice and fun atmosphere, incredible performances and we really had a lot of fun dancing here. I really recomment it!
