I do not like to shop. However, Farmway is an experience. It is jam-packed with high-quality clothing, hard-to-find stuff, interesting furniture, everything you need for your horse, and who knows what else. The buildings are a maze, but there are plenty of people around to help you. I need to emphasize that this is the real deal, not some kitschy tourist attraction. Most of the people I know would not dream of coming to this area without going to Farmway. It is crowded, but that's part of the fun. You do need to realize that this store is family-owned and they march to their own drummer. It is not open on Sunday and not open late.

This is a farmers store that turned into a general store that turned into an incredible bonanza of everything - from maple syrup to animal feed to high end clothing to furniture to kayaks and everything in between including, well everything lol. What a fun place to visit and we always come home with something new. I do need a new kayak.....hmmmmm.You won't be disappointed!

We were staying in the area for 5 days and heard that Farm Way was like an LL Bean store. We've always enjoyed browsing in the latter store so made it a point to go to Farm Way. We were disappointed in that things were crowded in making it more difficult to see them. They certainly had a lot of items but not displayed very attractively. We cruised thru the clothes and shoes store for about a half hour but then left. Not as enjoyable an experience as we expected.

Every time I visit the store I find something new has been added. I admit it, I love shopping but am disappointed by the choices here in Vermont, doing a lot of my shopping for clothes in major cities where there are is more variety. However, a trip to Farm-Way is like dropping into a dozen or more boutique shops all wrapped up in one. It is more than shopping, it is an event, a place you can spend a couple hours and not even start to explore everything the store has to offer. Outdoor clothing, shoes, boots, gifts, fencing, jewelry and the list goes on and on. If you are truly looking for something different, a way to spend part of the day not only shopping but browsing, this is the store. The staff is friendly, it is one of Vermont's hidden gems.
