Great store, friendly staff. Awesome Vermont cheeses! They also carry bread, wine, oils and vinegars. All you need for sitting by the fire

Every year, we stop and stock up on this fabulous cheese that is locally made. They also sell other "snack" food such as delicious olives and sausages. They sell wine too.

We were passing through Grafton during a recent visit to central Vermont. We have had Grafton cheese sold at stores back home in CT, but wanted to try the source. The place is a lot of fun. So many cheeses (and jams and relishes) to sample; our favorites being the garlic, the horseradish, and the dill cheddars. If you like cheese, you should stop in.

This is a nice store with lots of choices of cheese, jams, sauces, etc. There were plenty of samples to taste. The store was crowded, but the service was good. During the week they offer a tour of their cheese making process.

Four of us arrived 45 minutes prior to closing time. We were pleased, thinking we would have time to taste, as advertised. We walked in and got no greeting. The tasting areas were already cleaned. Two girls were working. Neither asked if we needed help, or even offered any taste whatsoever. They were more concerned with finishing their day. We had looked forward to tasting some good Vermont cheeses. What a shame! This is a very poor excuse for customer relations!

Its a lovely walk from the Grafton Inn to the cheese factory. Its always interesting to see how Grafton cheese is made. We're thankful we can buy a block in Boston MA.

We stopped at the Brattleboro location. Cute location. The petting farm was a plus. We sampled the cheeses and picked out the few that we liked. Prices were a little high but we bought them anyway. As we drove on through Vermont we stopped at a gift shop and they had the same cheese (yes the same brand) for almost half the price.

This town, and a tasting at Grafton Village Cheese, should be on any itinerary seeking out the most quaint towns in Vermont. It is a postcard of a town to just stroll around and they usually have a craft / local artist show set up around town on weekends in summer.

Grafton Cheddar Village is located in the town of Grafton. When we visited them, there was only one location. Now there is a specialty store in the middle of town and the production facility at 533 Townshend Road. At the time, the store/production facility was one huge place with plenty of free samples of their delicious cheese. There were also two viewing windows where you could view the cheddar making process. I would call ahead to see which facility you are interested in visiting but either way the cheese was delicious!

This place has a second location, but we decided to go to the one in Grafton. Wonderful selection of cheese, the cloth bound was my favorite. Great little town, picturesque New England. Definitely want to go back during the fall.

Grafton Cheese company has an outlet on linden in Brattleboro. There is a petting zoo but more importantly we stop here EVERY summer to taste cheese, yummy crackers and watch them make cheese. Great little shop and lots to see, taste and buy including syrup and wine! Kids LOVE it and always looks forward to going there (9 years now).

We visited the Wine and Cheese retail shop in Grafton. The cashier was very helpful and told us all about the cheese. She encouraged us to sample all of the cheese, salsas, mustards, and other goodies! We had a fun time doing so. Lots of wonderful products for sale. The prices are expensive, so we just got a small block of cheese. However, once we told the cashier that we would be traveling all day, she offered to get us an ice pack free of charge to keep the cheese cool. I thought it was very kind of her! The cheese is awesome!!!!

Make sure you go to the factory and watch the process. The store is fine for buying but the real action is at the factory and you might have the chance to speak with one of the cheesemakers.

My girlfriend and I were told to stop by this place from the concierge at our hotel, The Woodstock Inn. Boy, are we glad we did! First, the town is beautiful and picturesque. The store is very well laid out with many samples available to taste. We were greeted and helped by Wendy, a very knowledgable and friendly worker. She explained the different cheeses we were tasting (so incredible that we bought 3 different cheeses) and also mentioned how the cows they used for their cheeses were from the Billings Farm, right next to the Woodstock Inn. Being that we had just seen this farm a day earlier, it was so nice to see (and taste!) the work these lovely brown Jersey cows had done. If we return to Woodstock again, or are on our way north for a road trip, we will make it a point to pass by this place. Highly recommended.
