Every time I come to VT, I try to find granulated maple sugar. I'm normally unsuccessful.. until I Googled it and found this place. No disappointments there! Will definitely be back on my next trip.

I always end up laughing gustily with the two women who own this place, which has a nice selection of wine, and excellent cheeses from local and Vermont farms. As it is located across the street from one of the more exciting and pleasurable restaurants in the state, the Downtown Grocery, the pleasure of each trip is amplified by at least 2!

The Wine and Cheese Depot in Ludlow is operated by one of the most wine-knowledgeable persons in the East. Leslie's selection of wines covers normal table wines to excellent vintage specialties. Her selection of cheeses is wonderful. And soon, she'll be opening the Stemwinder where you'll be able to enjoy wine and selected tidbits in a very new and comfortable location.

Great selection of wines and cheeses. All of the cheeses are locally made and the wines range in price from about $10 to very pricy! On Depot Street just off the main drag!

Great selection of wines and cheeses. Knowledgeable staff. We are able to sample the wonderful cheeses and pick our favorites. The shop, itself, is really lovely with gift items and other "necessities" that are good for entertaining.

I read all of the other reviews and decided to visit. Really good wine selection and fine cheeses. They didn't offer wine tastings, something about Vermont Law. It is just not something I would go out of the way for.

There were so many wines to choose from from all over the world. The cheese choice looked amazing. My boyfriend and I were in there for atleast a half hour walking around and looking at everything this little store had to offer.

My husband and I where up in Ludlow for a quick getaway and stopped in at this shop. I was a little intimidated by all the types of cheese and having it set up in a deli style case. There where two ladies that worked there that where warm and welcoming. Encouraged my husband and I to try whatever we wanted and was very nice when we only bought a half pound sample of a few cheeses. I would definitely return!

Small shop with a nice variety of well-chosen wines from around the world. Reasonable prices. Wine cooler with some nice French roses. Lovely array of cheeses, olives, sausages in this small country wine and cheese shop. A nice find for those who know and love good wine!

Oh, where to start. First, my husband was a little put off by the old building exterior of the shop--I think he had something else in mind. He parked and we went in and that's all it took. The person working was super knowledgeable and helpful as we chose wine/cheese to end our day. She also made a WONDERFUL recommendation for a late lunch. I only wish we had this shop closer.

The wine is fine but the cheese tells you the wonderful story that is Vermont frommage!
