One of many visits. Joanie the owner oozes tranquility, life and good health and inspires you just by spending an hour in her presence. Facials are wonderfully relaxing and many options available. It is a very small spa so do make an appointment, it is busy !

I wasn't able to ski because of a knee injury, so while my family skied at Sugarbush, I booked a facial at Complexions Skincare (not Skinicare!). I chose it based on the many positive reviews on the Spafinder site.What a great choice!It was a very relaxing experience. The spa is located upstairs in a small building on Main Street in Waitsfield. The owner, Joanie Kavanaugh, consulted with me before the facial. I changed in the treatment room and enjoyed soothing music before the indulgent facial.Along with the skincare is a wonderful head, neck and shoulder massage that is amazingly relaxing. I could have stayed all day.Joanie uses luxurious, high-quality and mostly organic products. She really knows about skincare and gave me advice after the facial as she handed me some herbal tea. Check out her website to see her credentials.As an aside, she said that any gratuities go towards helping her oncology patients. That's always nice when someone gives back to others.I was put on her email list and glad I was, as she sent a promotion for some of her top-of-the-line skincare products.Do note that Complexions isn't a large spa with changing rooms, pools, saunas, steam showers and such. But if you want a wonderful, professional facial done by a trained expert in a calming atmosphere -- Complexions is the place to go!Don't hesitate -- treat yourself!
