I've reviewed the restaurant in the separate listing under "Restaurants" (hint, hint). We took the kids to see a movie and it was a great experience. Popcorn (see title) is outstanding. Theaters are very laid back (comfy chairs and sofas) and you can bring a grown-up beverage in with you.
We go to the Big Picture quite often and it is always consistent, though slow. it is also great to be able to attend the movies and have drinks and food that you can bring in with you. They even have couches in one of the theaters.
Excellent Autumn salad. Server copied the ingredients for me but mine was not as good. Small but would be worth a wait. Very friendly, made me feel like a local.
Went here as a group of 6 having a late breakfast and waitstaff actually moved some slowpoke diners along to get us seated...how cool is that! They have a selfserve coffee kiosk setup next to the front door and I believe it actual ISNT Green Mountian!! I mean is Green Mountian the only stuff they sell in Vermont? Anyways you really must try the homemade doughnuts...Mine had just come out of the fry-o-lator and with just a hint of maple flavoring.... and they gave us the holes as freebies to boot.We ordered breakfast burritos, over easy and home fried red potatoes. No complaints anywhere. To summarize: Good food, great service, price reasonable and all kinds of fun pictures to look at and clean bathrooms. And can handle large parties. Does it for me....
The food and service was great. We liked the healthy choice options on the menu, and there were some good beer choices as well. We arrived at our B&B later in the evening. The innkeeper suggested this restaurant, and we were pleased with it.
We had brunch here and the food arrived rather quickly however my Avocado BLT arrived without avocado? Also portions on my husbands plate were really small. We were given small glasses of water at the start and never offered refills until after he took our empty plates. Oh well!
It was delightful. Our server was cute, very accommodating & took great care of us. We just happened to be there for a lousy movie...
This place is very charming and in downtown Waitsfield Vermont. The breakfast was yummy and the coffee was great. They also have really nice looking pastries. Make sure you go tot he Waitsfield Farmers Market on Saturday. Little pricey but everything is pricey in Vermont.
Ate dinner here. Food was tasty and well prepared. Service was friendly and with a smile. Coconut cake was soooo good!
Overall the food is usually excellent . Service is good but can be a little but slow at times. I have eaten breakfast and lunch there on several occasions. Love the local offerings! Would have to say it is my favorite breakfast spot in the valley and one of my favorite lunch spots!
We caught a show at this place - really different and very comfortable. Nice little bar and sandwich type restaurant where you get food and drink to bring into the theater.
I loved this theatre and have gone there many times but I don't think I'll go again. I get the impression that they don't have enough people working for them, because if you order something at the counter, plates are put down and people just walk away to do/serve someone else. I think that this causes problems in terms of determining when food has been rung up and when it hasn't. I am an honest person and I would never steal/not pay for my food intentionally, however, I either absentmindedly didn't pay for one of my orders or they never put my payment in their cash register, system, because one of the staff asked me if I paid for my dessert. I said that I thought I had, but offered to wait while she checked. She said she believed me, and I thought that was the end of it. I bought something else to take home and proceeded to leave. I was surprised when another staff member ran after me and snapped, "Will you pay, *please*?" I asked, "paid for what?" "I don't know, my boss says you didn't pay," she said, annoyed. Her tone of voice was putting me on edge and mine may have reflected that. She told me I didn't pay for my dessert, so I asked her if she meant the one I bought at the theatre or the one I bought to take home. She said neither, and I told her that I thought I had already talked to her boss about the former. She said, "I don't know why you're yelling at me, I'm just trying to figure out what you paid." I honestly didn't think I was yelling, but I explained that this was awkward situation, that i was willing to pay for whatever hadn't been charged and that my voice was naturally kind of loud. She said that this wasn't the first time; I yelled at her for not getting a dessert to me fast enough. I remember ordering that dessert (the one she seemed convinced that I had tried to purloin), and no yelling took place. I ordered it, she said they needed a few minutes too warm it up, and I said, "ok." Her new accusation did make me angry, so I now told her that I wouldn't be returning. She thrust a sheet of paper at me, which I assumed was my receipt. I signed it and tried to leave, but she exclaimed that I still hadn't paid; that was a record receipt, not a sales receipt. I let her run my card again, signed a different reciept and then I was finally able to leave. So, my concluding sentiment is: One thing at a time, BPT. Ring people up, use one reciept; don't try to serve three people 5 things at the same time. Also, please improve communication between your employees so that customers don't have to deal with the same problem twice with two different people. Moreover, a sorting out a payment misunderstanding is not the time to take a customer to task for percieved insults-no one wants to deal with that. So, if you go to BPT, enjoy yourself-just pay close attention to when you get your food, what reciept you got, and when you paid.
My husband, daughter and I went to see a movie here. Low and behold you can actually sit at a couch and have your food and drinks from the adjacent restaurant served to you so that you can enjoy them while watching a movie on the big screen! A really neat experience.
We were in VT for a wedding and ended up joining friends for brunch here 3 days in a row. The breakfast slider & breakfast burrito were big winners with the group! Be warned it's small and service can take a while if they're busy.
Desperately needed a powerpoint for laptop, they set me up - great local beer brews. Also showed me around the Cinema, which is something to see.Very friendly.
