Went to see Peter Boynton's version of " Violet" recently here and was very impressed. The cast was great, talented singers esp the younger version of vi. The use of your own imagination was required with the little amount of props the cast had, but it worked! The barn itself is beautifully redone and the grounds well kept. Very happy to have witnessed this play, looking forward to the next production

The pristine setting and simple restoration of this quintessential Vermont barn made this the perfect venue for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. Peter's aesthetic sensibilities and easy manner make the entire experience easy. Although a rainy day created some unwanted stress and disappointment for the bride and groom, the experience was, nevertheless, every bit as beautiful and unique as that for which we hoped. The ceremony was held inside the barn due to the rain, but Peter's theater experience proved to be a benefit in setting things up inside. The transition from ceremony to reception was quick and seamless, as guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres in the front part of the barn. The food, catered by Dale (the only caterer permitted ) was wonderful...delicious and beautifully presented. With the addition of flowers, candle light and a great band chosen by the bride, groom and their families, the event could not have been better.The only potential limitation is that music must end by 9:30 so as to not disturb neighbors.So the venue is probably not good for evening weddings.

We held our wedding at The Skinner Barn this summer and couldn't have asked for a better experience. After looking at several barn locations in Vermont we chose The Skinner Barn because we felt truly out in the VT landscape and Peter made us feel welcome and cared for. The view of the Green Mountains and the great relationship they have with vendors in the area helped everything run smoothly. We really could not have asked for a better place to hold our ceremony and reception!

We visited this location for a wedding and reception. What a beautiful location! The ceremony was held in the field behind the barn, with the Green Mountains as a back drop. The barn itself has been beautifully restored and the grounds are well kept. The staff working the event were excellent!
