I have been visiting the Weston Playhouse on a regular basis for a few years. I stay at a campground most weekends in the summer and this place is about 30 minutes away. I am always surprised by the caliber of the performances and have never been disappointed. You can make reservations online and on the phone. I have also gotten tickets at the door. Some productions have been at a smaller venue down the road, The Road and Gun Club, and now a big new home for the theater is in the works. I look forward to every show they produce with the musicals being my favorite.

We finally saw a play at The Weston Playhouse during the summer of 2014. It was Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. It was a lovely evening with a personal touch from the director and cast. The theatre is lovely, but has the most uncomfortable seats ever!! Next year, I will bring a pillow to sit on.

was as usual alot of fun Steve Bennett who played the dame very good aswere the local dancers. the "stars" dean gaffney and gemma russell were very good as well.

We go to most of the shows every year and thoroughly enjoy them. Saw Les Miz in NY and Boston and the performance in Weston was much more intimate and enjoyable. They are not afraid to take on new untested plays most of which have been good fun. Strongly recommend this gem in the heart of Vermont.

We were there in July and again in August. We were so impressed by the shows here and at the Rod and Gun Club. There is nothing small time about this little gem in this tiny town. The extra special blessing? NO CELL SIGNAL ANYWHERE! It makes theatre going just wonderful. The quality of the shows is exceptional. If you go, do yourself a favor and make reservations for the Cabaret, which follows the main show. It is hilarious!

We love the Weston, its plays and atmosphere. Dinner in the dining room downstairs is always great and the view of the waterwheel and river is perfect. It's become a summer tradition for us.

The playhouse is small and beautiful overlooking a wonderful village green. It is located in an absolutely fabulous town. We attend productions at least twice a year and have never been totally disappointed. Of course some are better than others but you can't please all the people all the time. This is absolutely one of the best summer theaters around.

Uncle Vanya was great. The play was well acted and used the beauty of Vermont to make a very meaningful production.

we attend plays every year at weston playhouse and they are alway excellent. This year we saw Choras Line which was a super performance. We sat next to one of the dancers parents and they were very proud of hin which I agreed. The theather is so beautiful and the seats are comfortable.

I went with friends to see Uncle Vanya and while the play was way too long and a bit tedious all of the actors were wonderful! The theater itself is very nice with plenty of leg room between the seats. The staff were all very friendly and there was even a discussion with the director before the show began. If you go early enough you can stroll through the village green and visit the few Vermont shops that are there.

For a city dweller this is a great way to spend an evening. A lovely setting nice pre theatre meal and a very professional production every time.

We were vacationing in Stratton Mountain Resort. Bought tickets to CHORUS LINE for a Wednesday matinee. We spent the day in Weston shopping and having lunch before the show. Had mid orchestra seats that were leg roomy and perfect to the stage. The show was sooooo great!! So enjoyable! Such talent! For anyone on vacation in southern Vermont, this is a must to do!

I saw the production of " A chorus line " last night. Not so wonderful. The actors had lovely voices but this is a show about dancers and with the exception of a few of the performers they didn't seem like dancers... more like actors/singers pretending to be dancers. The theater is a beautiful space and it's reputations is stellar so my expectations were high. The ticket price of $ 60.00 per person seemed high to me which also lead me to believe this production would be wonderful. NOT SO MUCH! I have seen many productions of " A chorus line" including the original , the revival on Broadway and a number of local and regional productions. I love this show, but not this production. The actors do the best they can, clearly this show was sung beautifully most of my complaint is with the direction of the show. Didn't work for me. I was very disappointed .

I had been to Weston before, and I didn't remember it being that small.Somehow though, I missed the Playhouse last time I visited. By chance, we parked our car in front of the Playhouse this time, not even realizing what it was. We noticed the signs for that night's performance and decided to look into it. The show that night was Analog and Vinyl, advertised as the world premier for this show. We took a chance and ponied up the $50 a ticket for the show. The theater is beautiful and quaint and in a great location. There was a decent sized crowd considering it was the last night of the show and you are pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The show was very well done and the actors were very talented. We were not blown away by the show itself, but we had a great time and would definitely go back. Worth the money.
