This campus is not as impressive as Princeton or Yale or as cute as Dartmouth or Brown... but it is a very nice campus to have a walk in, especially at fall when the students are back and the leaves have begun changing colors. There are some pretty nice buildings on S Prospect street and University place. The small museum is interesting (5$).The bookstore is also very nice with a very good variety of UV apparel.

We just returned from a weekend in Burlington for the UVM Open House. What an impressive university, in a great small city -- right on Lake Champlain. UVM is integrated into the community in a unique way, and the combination has a great vibe. Academically, UVM also has a higher rating than you might expect, including recognition for innovation. The culture also reflects Vermont, with an focus on diversity, hard work and eco awareness. The mix of old and new architecture also makes UVM an interesting place to walk and tour. They have the classic old Ivy League style buildings, mixed with generations of new designs that work well together -- better than any university we have visited.Everyone was friendly and welcoming, at the University and around town. I hope our son picks UVM so we can return!Mark

While Burlington was nice (and crowded) we actually LOVED staying at Windekind Farm the most. We cannot wait to go back!

We walked around the campus on a Fall Sunday afternoon. The buildings are a work of art with nice landscaping and beautiful backdrop of the mountains, very scenic !

I love UVM and each time I come back to Burlington I appreciate it more and more and wish I could go back to the University for another four years. So many renovations are being done and the students of the future will be better off because of it.

A visitor should just walk through the campus and take in the buildings. Visit the Fleming Museum, Ira Allen Chapel and the Davis student center. I highly recommend you eat at the restaurant in the Davis center. It is all farm to table and they tell you where they get all the food in the area on a map. It is farm to table at its best, The cheese burgers are awesome but get there when they open because the students love this place.

Our daughter received both her undergraduate and a graduate degree from UVM. It's a great place to walk around if you're visiting Burlington. The view of the mountains to one side and a view of the lake from the other! Visit the Davis Center to get your UVM t-shirt!

The University of Vermont (UVM) sits at the top of Main Street overlooking the city of Burlington. It is a state university with a terrific reputation for scholarship and location. Its reputation is so good that it has often been called an outstanding "public ivy" on a par with Ivy League private colleges and universities. UVM has been a part of my life, my husband's life, and the lives of many of our friends. Entrance is very competitive, but worth it if you are accepted. It is a very interesting and beautiful campus to visit, with its rich blend of historic and modern buildings and attractions. It is like visiting a small town within a small city. The UVM campus is a must-stop for anyone touring the city of Burlington.

This campus is really pretty and has some decent age to it and it is shown in its buildings. I would not mind if one of my kids went to school here so we could visit often

Best college tour we went on. Informative, entertaining and just the right length of time. What a terrific and well organized school in a beautiful environment!

I studied there for a semester as an exchange student from France, and I just loved it.Such a good experience, and so many things to do there. Plus, Burlington as a whole is so lovely.

We found the university campus so inviting. The architect so like we are used to - set in a beautiful New England setting, that feels warm, safe and full of history. The downtown an extra bonus - filled with lovely restaurants, shops and something always going on - not to mention an emphasis on being "green". Definitely looking forward to return visits to explore the possibilities.

Beautiful and historic buildings set around a lovely green campus. University store is worth a visit. Shame about the lack of convenient parking. Park downtown and ride the free bus up the hill to the main campus.

The campus is very pretty with lots of well-built, distinctive buildings. It's walking distance to the downtown shopping area and to the lake. Beautiful!

The campus at UVM is exquisite. It is what most people think of when they think of a college campus. The staff and students are warm and welcoming and the location above Lake Champlain couldn't be any better. A short stroll down the hill puts you right on Church St. with loads of interesting stores and restaurants. Spring and fall are perfect times to tour the area.
