Its classic design and compact size makes the Flynn a nice venue to enjoy a show. Unfortunately, the Flynn is best suited for a play, or orchestra, not for a rock concert. The audience at the George Thorogood show was mostly lethargic and the vast majority of the crowd remained seated throughout this high energy show and these people expected everyone else to remain seated as well. Performers feed off of the crowd's energy level and sadly this uninformed crowd failed to return the passion and energy displayed by George and the band. Overall, five stars for the performance and seating not too far from the stage and a two star rating for the disappointing environment and lifeless crowd.

Hampered only by lack of nearby parking on a ten below zero day, The Flynn Theatre was a great place to see School House Rock Live .. Good views from the balcony, pleasant staff, comfortable accommodations. Love to go to The Flynn. Just plan your parking options in advance.

The new seats have more legroom and are comfy , great virew from balcony and main floor ... sound was great for Christmas carol and Ballet.

It was a packed house and VSO entertained with a great performance. The soloist for Elena Urioste demonstrated her virtuosity.

However the Flynn has gotten expensive and leg room has gotten smaller with the much needed new seats. Not sure if they added seats. Snacks and drinks are highway robbery. This is Burlington Vermont not New York city.

In town for five nights and was able to get tickets to see Boz Skaggs. It was a great venue and very accessible

I've been to the Flynn for a few different shows, it's a nice clean venue, although I don't like the fact that you can't have a drink in your seat. They only allow you to get a drink during break times. They do have a nice variety of different type of shows, and theater as well.

This is my favorite theater for a smaller venue. Their programming is wonderful and there is a small stage downstairs where Vermont Stage performs. I love theaters where seeing and hearing the performers is so intimate.

My wife and I just saw Los Lobos in this fantastic and beautiful theatre! We had front row seats! It was a great show in a beautiful theater! The theater was remodeled some years again and you can tell there was a lot of pride and love that went into the refurbish. If you get a chance to see a show here, you should! Burlington is so fortunate to have this venue in its midst!

I love the shows they have here. My husband is not a big fan of most concert venues, but he loves coming here for a nice laid back show. They also have great theater productions here & many off broadway or touring shows can only be seen here if you want to stay in Vermont. Otherwise you have to travel to Boston, New York or Montreal which can be fun (& expensive).

This a great place to see and hear performing arts. The interior has been beautifully restored and a marvel to behold. The space was designed for the pre-amplification era, however. Sitting anywhere close to the speakers in the front makes it difficult to understand vocals in that there is an echo effect that garbles amplified vocals.

Went to see a hilarious stand up comedy show. Very talented comedians. Cozy atmosphere. Bar inside so you can get drinks.

I go to the Flynn often because it brings in great talent and productions into a small restored theatre. It is lovely. I have seen everything from Phish to George Carlin and have enjoyed all. The local theatre group Lyric Theater is amazing and just did Les Mis here. Tony Bennett had the music stop during his show and commented that he loved it at the Flynn - designed with real acoustics for performers and audience - then belted out a song a Capella for us. If you can see a show here, do. There isn't a bad seat in the house.

We went to see the Golden Dragon Acrobats here and get great seats for cheap. Bring a student id, they may offer a discount for the show.

I saw Foreigner here and was impressed by the entire event. Great Burlington crowd and super performance made this a night to remember.
