I spent with my wife a lovely afternoon on Church Street learning about Vermont's products and fine food. It is a really unique place to shop as many stores offer local products. Numerous pubs and restaurants are also located on Church street. Unfortunately, I noticed that large national chains are gobbling up retail space replacing small stores. A very large mall just opened into Church street which may become just an appendage to the mall. This is a case of the tail wagging the dog. I highly recommend a visit to Church Street, while you can.

First time at the marketplace and there's a lot to discover and almost everything is local and you can discover new local products. In the end, you know a bit more about Burlington and the surroundings. People proud of their products. Must see in BVT

This was so fun to do some local shopping! We spent way more money than we intended, but there were great local shops!

Food is available from street vending to formal restauransts. Plenty of diferent shopping experiences, and on weekends you will see several street performers.

The market place is active and a wonderful way to get a a true feeling of the wonderful city of Burlignton

great selection of shops and restaurants. Nice place to just walk around, window shop and have lunch. There are many chain stores but still a good number of specialty shops.

I have been to Burlington numerous times and always make sure to wander Church St. Great shopping, even if only passing the windows, and a ton of restaurants. This is the heart of Burlington!

This pedestrian street that runs through the middle of town is a nice place to stroll. There are a few little gems along the way - local boutiques, cafes and art galleries - but there are also a lot of chain stores that you can find anywhere. Do check out the BCA Art Gallery. Great exhibits!

The Church street Marketplace is, by design, a place for people. Lots of shops, interesting stores, places to eat formal or informal, drink coffee, stroll, sit, hang, maybe watch professional street theater, and yes, this is the home of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream- so you can eat ice-cream. Burlington Vermont, for whatever reason had the vision, years ago, to make a place for people- and it's beautiful.

Went to visit friends and our first stop was church street. What a gorgeous spot! We went at night and the whole street was lit up beautifully with white lights. Great place to grab a coffee, shop for cool souvenirs, eat a great meal or do some bar hopping (we did a little of all :) ). Oh ya and its a pedestrian street, so just watch the intersections for traffic.

Lots of shops, especially outdoors sports shops, abound. Tons of restaurants, offering local foods. The variety of places to eat was impressive in a town this size. The about 4 block shopping area is pedestrian only, and with the cobbled stone streets makes it an idyllic place as well in which to shop and eat.

It was beautiful, fun and enjoyable to walk on that street and shop in the stores. Not a lot of people, beautiful architectures and delicious restaurants.

While I have been here before, it, like many downtowns, has changed since our last visit, but unlike most downtowns it has GROWN. Man there is so much to see and do here, and as of this coming Monday, there will be NO more smoking allowed in the downtown area (Church street). This whole area has a ton of shops, and if that isn't enough, there are several VERY large ,malls just outside of town. One such mall has a HUGE Book store. Hell it's almost bigger then the library in our home town.Great places to eat, visit and enjoy. And should you want to step just outside of town a bit, there are dozens of great places to eat, visit, enjoy.

Some of my favorite stores were gone. There are still some great ones but a lot fewer. I used to spend the whole day shopping there. This time I was done in 1 hour.

After having recently visited Burlington for business on more than one occasion I've concluded (along with several coworkers) the Church Street Marketplace has become downtrodden and filled with homeless, young people begging for money and various other issues . Apparently its really become a problem. Llbean recently opened a new store so hopefully the area will become revitalized... It really needs a boost!
