downtown bennington visitor center

The new Welcome center is located in the middle of a complicated cloverleaf interchange. You have to just blindly follow the signs to get to it. But once there, it is an excellent resource. Maps and brochures abound, and the young lady at the desk was helpful in planning our day in Bennington after we told her what we were interested in. So by all means start your visit here!

What a pleasant space this is - lovely gals volunteering were very knowledgable and knew exactly where the bathroom was....: ) They also knew the history and assets of all the attractions and businesses in their large catalogue of flyers. Impressed! Very cool building, the old town blacksmith I believe, it's worth a stop in just to see the place itself!

The volunteers here were very helpful and very friendly. There are brochures for local attractions and upcoming events. The bathrooms were clean and the lace was open and airy inside. While you are there check out the painted cats and moose on the lawn.

We're falling in love with Bennington, and Heather at the downtown visitor center is a part of that. She answered all our questions, gave us insight into the town and its people, and just could not have been more pleasant, interesting and helpful.
