Such a beautiful walk w/lots of history, which is posted along the trail. We walk it a couple times a month. Saw it last week covered in snow & it was just as beautiful as in the summer. Natures beauty at its best & it's FREE.

This park does a great job with displays sprinkled throughout the trail giving you more information about the past uses of the area. There's a few different opportunities to go off the beaten path and get close to the water.I definitely recommend a short trip (1 hr) to check out the history, river and falls!

Beautiful park with trails along the creek complete with waterfalls. Historic plaques along the way with interesting facts about the area. Serene lush green surroundings right behind downtown Bedford. Don't be afraid to walk through the tunnel. Be careful with small children who might want to get too close to the edge. Bring your camera.

I would definitely recommended this place if in the area. It's a short walk less than a half mile. They signs here add to the history and what you are looking at the falls themselves are huge here and you can fell the mist of the water. There's a little tunnel to walk through but it is dark and shrinks in height but fun to explore.

This was SO worth our time and side trip to visit. Living history abounds and the Great Falls are easily accessible and well worth the hike into the park. Take time to read about the community's history and to seek out the remains of times gone by. Free parking and access is also a plus.

Having grown up next to this park, fished its streams and hunted mushrooms and may apples with my dad, and returned often, I can assure you this is a place to walk and relax in non-threatening natural surroundings. Say hello for me.

The Viaduct Park is a hidden gem! A paved path leads you along ruins of an old mill and viaduct but the real gem is the creek and waterfall! There's a nice parking lot and a porta-potty. Head to downtown Bedford if you're hungry. Bedford Falls Cafe is perfect for a cup of coffee and light lunch. Sirna's has excellent burgers and sausage sandwiches.

The trail and waterfall here are nice. Generally clean and the people friendly, no charge to park there or enter the park, and pet owners can get clean-up bags for their dogs. There are no restroom facilities at the park; only a porta-potty. I've been there early in the morning (among other times) and more than once saw early morning nudity from couples that slept on the large rocks of the river but nothing at other times of the day and I've enjoyed many visits there. http://www.gowaterfalling.com/waterfalls/tinkersgreatfalls.shtml Summary: This is a decent sized urban waterfall which is surprisingly unadvertised. It is in Bedford's Viaduct Park. In addition to the waterfall there are ruins of an old mill, an old viaduct, and a very impressive man made tunnel through which the creek now flows

My husband and I enjoy going here to just relax. We have been here many times just to take in the views, a little picnic, and even just to talk. Good history and cool things to see as well. There are benches and you can get very close to the water. A nice little gem in the city of Bedford.

This is a great little park. The waterfall is lovely. Most of the path is paved, though it might be a bit too steep for wheelchairs. There's signs around explaining the history of the place which is nice.

The park does not look very nice from the road and briefly I thought we had found ourselves on the wrong side of the tracks. Once you get into the park though it is well worth it. The falls are very impressive. Of all the waterfalls in the area this had the most volume going over at one time. You can feel the power of the falls as the earth shakes below you as you stand on the overlook. Along the river there are also old ruins of building which were the first industry in the area. You can get right down next to the water and see where the river was once damned so that they could run the mills. I would definetly make a trip by here if you have the time as it is very educational and gives you or your kids the opprotunity to use your imagination. Also when you leave the park you can see some of the old buildings in town including a beautiful victorican home in the area of park street

Parking right there and you can go out onto the old viaduct and read about some of the history of it. Then there's a nice little paved path that goes down into the tree's down to the creek. There's also a couple of dirt path's off the main path.

Beautiful stand alone park that is part of the metropark systerm. This is a small park but has some really beautiful areas for some great pictures like the Great falls of Tinkers Creek which to me are better than Brandywine falls. They have paved pathways to get to the falls plus you can see the via duct and ruins of the old mill. The one draw back is finding the park. It is located on Willis and Taylor Rd. You literally have to go through a business parking lot to get to the park's parking lot. Otherwise it is worth the effort.

This is such a lovely drive. It had rained earlier so we did not picnic but lots of places to eat a packed lunch and breath in the fresh fall air are available. Needless to say I took many photos and we had to stop for deer crossing.
