Even though it was winter I had to go and see the falls. It was a great day so we drove there and it was clear enough to walk the paths. It was beautiful. I wish it was warmer to stay longer but the falls were a frozen mass of icicles and the water frozen over with sounds of running water under the layer of ice. It was a great seven moment of sight seeing. It's really awesome this lies in the middle of Dublin. A gem to s great town!!
This park is a short walk from both Jeni's Ice Cream, and Bad Frog Yogurt, as well as a number of other Dublin eateries. It is hidden just behind the Dublin Library, and is wonderful for a short walk through the woods. The paths are well maintained, with viewing bridges and stairs through steaper areas. Great way to spend a few minutes walking off your ice cream, and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the stream and waterfalls.
Hidden very close to hotels and commercial buildings, this is a lovely reprieve from the built up areas of Dublin. ( literally a 3 min drive from my Embassy Suites stay) The city has done a wonderful with this area with bridges, and lookout points along the way. Beautifully maintained. A wonderful quick escape- Thanks City of Dublin!
Very small area that is pretty. You will see my other reviews as we decided to do all the "kitchy" things in Dublin that were listed on TA because we had nothing else planned. So instead of visiting the casino and loosing money...we did this. Took us about 1/2 hour to visit all the places:)
a hidden gem...so enjoy! A great way to spend some time discovering and getting some good exercise! Hotel and locals are readily there to point you int he right direction of the falls!
Lived here for many years and only recently discovered the marvelous walk from near the post office to downtown old Dublin. Best time (I think) is early spring and early fall when leaves are a bit sparse but still present enough to enclose you in a mini wonderland.
Took one of my daughters here as part of a father – daughter date. I never would've guessed this was in the middle of Dublin, just a couple of minutes from the highway. We went during a dry time, but I can easily see how beautiful it would've been if there had been water coming over the falls.BE WARNED – There are steps up and down. And after the first bridge across, there are no other bridges along the entire path with a return trail. You have to turn around and come back the same path you've walked down. From the website, it looks as if it winds around and spits you out near a populated part of Dublin.
the Indian river falls is a must see in dublin downtown. On one side is the beautiful war memorial and a serene looking cemetary and then you walk into this little trail filled with tall trees. While the trail itself isnt very long, it takes you along the banks of running water, which leads to a cool waterfall. There are several look out points It really is a veritable oasis, with all the foilage and chirping of birds !
This is a great hike, the trail is well maintained and clean. It is very pretty and the falls were larger than I thought they would be. We were there after a huge storm so it was impressive to see. My only complaint would be that they need to trim some of the branches/weeds at the over looks so you can get a better picture, but overall I was very impressed.
Indian Run Falls is a gorge hiking trail with a small waterfall and some cascading water in a couple of areas. It is located right in the middle of a built up urban area. You walk a short distance from the parking lot and suddenly you're in a wilderness like environment. Pretty cool! The gorge gets pretty deep and wide in places so I can see why they built around it rather than trying to fill it in. It's a pleasant surprise.
What a hidden gem! We were walking in Dublin, waiting to meet up with some feiends, when we ran across the renovated yet still old cemetary. It was an amazing feeling walking around and looking at the beautiful old stones, most of which were children. There is so much history in one little square of the city that is beautiful and untouched! The Falls themselves were simply beautiful. The paths are all nice, clean and well marked. Several areas where you can stop and overlook the river/falls area. We walked up the river (it was dry), taking in all the beauty. There were several buckeye trees that had dropped nuts, which was a cool little souveneir! Its a very pretty, serene place to walk or just relax and be one with nature. It'd be a perfect spot for senior pictures or a photo shoot!
I was enchanted with this waterfall park hidden amidst the post office, grocery, gas stations in Dublin. It is serene and beautiful.
Nice little park behind the library in Dublin. I've taken friends and family through before or after drinks in the downtown. Personally, I find the rehab'd grave yard fascinating and very beautiful. The falls are sometimes dry, but in spring and fall they are typically flowing well. It's a nice walk with a fairly well improved and maintained trail.
