loveland canoe & kayak

We took the castle adventure (kayaking) on a nice, sunny day with a previous day of rain. The river was only slightly busy...we passed one couple, and there a few families with canoes, but it was a peaceful trip. AFTER we hung around Loveland and enjoyed lunch. A great day and a great outfitter...the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it was a bit of boring trip...the Castle was nice to see, but it wasn't the best spot on the little miami. Don't let that discourage you, though...it's a great business and a great spot.

Very nice people and helpful. We did the 10 mile with a group of 12 and had 3 to a canoe. My children ages 11,9, and 4 had a great time exploring the river banks and swinging on various rope swings that send you way into the air. Loveland Castle was closed by the time we got there, so next time we will try and move quicker. Also got some much needed exercise. ☆☆☆☆☆

Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice rental equipment. They even had a paddle for my 4 year old that was his size! The driver who drove us to our drop off point safe and nice. Everyone there wore a smile and told us to have a nice time. We have went here year after year and it's always been fun and we will keep coming back. They are family oriented and I would recommend this company to anyone. Thank You to the owners, managers, and staff.

Located in Downtown Loveland, you can make a day of it. Park at Loveland Canoe and Kayak, take a trip down the river, then walk over to the dining district and have some eats. I recommend The Works Pizzeria or Jullian's Deli. You will enjoy the paddle down the Little Miami River while viewing wildlife like the Great Blue Heron and numerous other birds, various species of turtles, frogs and fish that inhabit this special river. You can canoe, kayak or raft with your friends, family, team or co-workers and leave the work to the livery. Their rental rates are reasonable and the service friendly. I have my own kayak, so they charged a nominal fee to take me and my boat up-river. For your safety and the protection of the scenic and historic Little Miami River, please do not bring any glass containers or styrofoam coolers (they are bad for the environment).Alcohol and river activities –canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and swimming– DON’T MIX. Your judgment and abilities will be diminished by alcohol. Exposure to summer sun intensifies the effects of alcohol. The City of Loveland and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources are taking a strong stance against drinking in public and while on the water. Be responsible and smart; make the drive home safe and sober.
