I got a 1 year membership to the Medina rec center the equipment always stop working/breaks. The staff is very rude, Never smiles, Never makes you feel welcome, etc I tried to renew my membership and the staff would not let me renew it with out showing i purchase it. Not even waist of time to get a membership at the Medina rec center.
This was one of the best investments the schools and city combined to offer all citizens. Visitors to the city can use facility for a $5 fee. But do not forget your Photo ID. Great place to workout or take children for swim.
We went a few times as visitors and this place has all the amenities and services youd expect of a top notch Health & Wellness center.Pools and a field house, indoor running/walking track, free-weights and machines, bikes, treadmills, etc. They offer personal training and group exercise classes as well. lockers room and showers are clean and whole facility is kept spotless during open hours by attentive and professional, and friendly staff. We joined and love the social interaction or just going their to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We go whenever we're in town visiting my parents. Medina is lucky to have such a fabulous facility. The pools are clean, well run, and safe. The spray and play for kids keeps them busy for hours! It would drive me nuts to run around the little track, but it's perfect for walkers and those who don't want to brave the elements in the winter. The weight lifting area is well kept and people are polite.
Love the gym, love the basketball courts (for the kids), love the track - and it gets me out of the house during the winter.... Not the best I've seen, but not bad for our hometown.....
I'm a senior citizen with Silver Sneakers pass. I enjoy his place for "free" with the pass.Open many hours, clean and well maintained, friendly staff, and always a pleasure.Highly recommended. Bring out of towners as guests for reasonable prices ($7 for one time,$5 for a 5 day). You can also use the work out equipment, walk the track (indoors),and often attend various events. Its a wonderful friendly place.
Go and enjoy! Especially in the winter...no reason to be a couch potato! We used both pools, the lap pool and the kid's area with the slide. We played some basketball and just had a fun day!
The staff at the Medina Community Rec Center is terribly unfriendly, and the center is overpriced. I've brought my kids here for years because they like to swim and it's the only place in town, but I hate the atmosphere, The women at the front desk are militant-like, and act like they're doing you a favor by allowing you in - this includes members who pay a lot for membership. No one on the staff has ever smiled at us or said "hello". Someone needs to send the entire staff to Customer Service 101, including upper management who probably sets the tone of the place. **Visitors are not allowed in without a member.**
Not enough space for free wights. If your'e a hardcore bodybuilder this is not for you. Not enough space or weights a heavy focus on machines and classes here.I was a member no longer their hours are short as gyms go and closed many holidays. Nice pool but often closed due to swim meets.
I'm all abuzz with community feeling. There were little kids being taught how to swim by their parents, seniors doing slow rehab, teens burning off some of their hormonal energy, and lots of other adults simply exercising. I liked the vibe, and the value was pretty good. I paid $25 for a 5 visit punch card. The weight machines were fairly easy to use and had pictures showing how each exercise is done. I was pleased with not having to wait to use the equipment. People seemed to be actually spraying down the machines as they used them, which is great as flu season approaches. In all, I'd recommend. There's bicycle parking as well.
I'm only reviewing the annual Craft Show which was held in a room past the pools and aerobic rooms. I had rec'd a flyer and took my mother. We paid to get in only to see one little sad room with approx 30 tables. Mostly jewelry. Professional booths were there, like Avon and the spice company which isn't really "crafts". I'd go back next year if there's no fee to get in.
family membership seems high to me but the facility is great, meeting room as well, crowded parking at times
This is a very nice rec center to go & workout or just walk around the track for exercise. They have memberships & they also have where you can go there for one day for a certain amount or they have a 5 day card punch. Worthwhile place & it is a nice clean place in Medina OH.
To many kids running around, lacking cardio equipment, cleanliness I rate at a 3 out of 10 ESP the bathrooms and floors
One of the nicest recreation centers I've ever visited.Clean and nearly brand new...its got something for everyone. The pool is an oasis of fun for the entire family becauseits indoor and warm on even the coldest Medina day. Guest pass is $5. A real find!
