Heisey glass was active from the early 1900's to the 1950's, and sold in the nicer department stores. When it went out of business, collectors eventually purchased the molds to protect the integrity for the glass collectors. The display of hundreds of pieces of glass produced by Heisey is phenomenal. I particularly enjoyed observing the etchings on pieces. The glass is well-displayed, and there are pictures on their website so that you may have an idea of what the place looks like. It is normally a self-tour, so you may spend as little or as much time as you wish. I spent about an hour, but if I were really into glass collecting, I probably would have spent more time. I would not recommend children for this stop. The fee was inexpensive--$4. I was impressed, and it was a nice stop while I was going through the area on other business.
