We heard about this place by accident, but so glad we did. This place is amazing for young and old "kids." You even get to pet Sturgeons. Try the different trout spread samples they have to offer. We'd like to go back once the weather is warmer.

but if you are in the area, don't let that stop you! took my two grands and we had fun petting the sturgeon and learning about the other critters there, including fluffy the aligator! the trout did not come up to eat the food we offered but it was a nasty cold and windy day. the kids especially enjoyed holding the tiny baby turtle and shopping in the gift shop. my favorite part was tasting the smoked trout spreads!

We have frequented Freshwater Farms a number of times as we return from Ski Mad River.I have always maintained that the "best trout dinner" is the trout dinner that I prepare in our kitchen. It requires not much time to visit and enjoy Freshwater Farms market, and I purchase trout fillets for dinner tomorrow.We like the concept of the Ohio Fish and Shrimp festival, and secure a flyer as a reminder.
