Love the local cheese and the awesome Walnut Creek products! The peppered bacon is awesome, love the packaged mush and the granola is always a must buy when we visit.
We live close by and shop here frequently. You can find any kind of bulk item, wonderful meats and cheeses.
This is one place I stop each time I go to Amish country. Bring a cooler and lots of money. I NEVER got out of there under $100. Uncle Mike's jerky is delicious and well priced. I buy 2 pounds at a time. It refrigerates well.Besides the grocery store there is a cute gift shop attached with a delicious adornment of jams and jellies.
This place has everything you need for cooking & baking, as well as gifts, teas, kitchen needs, greeting cards! We drive there just to shop here! It's always a busy place but worth the crowds!
Always stop here for smoked Swiss! Wonderful, fresh, very reasonable deli. Great selection of bagged bulk items. If you are a jerky fan they have the best prices. Ice cream is great too---the kids size is more than adequate.
What a great place to find all your Amish foods, bulk foods, groceries, they even have a restaurant.
I have been driving out to Walnut Creek for years. Every time I eat there, the food gets worse. I don't eat lunch there at all now. Grocery shopping is ok but eating there is terrible! I bought Christmas pretzels today from the bulk food section and the pretzels are stale. Yuk! Every time I go, the prices have increased too.
Love this place! You can eat there or just have ice cream and shop to your hearts content. They have all kinds of natural products, deli services, and gummy candies of all kinds for the kids. My grandkids call it the gummy store and we go every chance we get!
A full grocery, hand-dipped ice cream of ALL flavors, meat, cheeses and wines; as well as a light-meal restaurant and shops that feature Amish wares. Fun place to visit.
This is a bustling cheese, deli and grocery store. Excellent products. There are antiques on the walls and overhead to look at and be amazed. We had lunch here in their deli area called a café. They will serve you hot or cold sandwiches for about $5. We ordered Trail Baloney and Swiss cheese sandwich. We ate in the car in the parking lot which has a fantastic view of the country side. You could also go upstairs to eat at tables, but I don't know what that looked like. We saw lots of people getting ice cream, so that must be popular.I would most likely plan on returning to this place to shop and eat.
This is like shopping at multiple stores under one roof... but I believe it is all the same store. The kitchen store area is a delight....everything a cook could ask for...lots of gadgets, cookware, and kitchen ware! Seems I always find something to buy there! Love to just browse all the stuff! Between the kitchen ware area and the grocery is a large room with shelves full of jams & jellies, apple butters and other foods in jars. Plus a counter with samples to try. And I especially like the big variety of teas and coffee and tea making supplies. The grocery part has regular grocery items, but also an impressive bulk foods section (baking goods, mixes, candies, spices, and more). I stocked up on spices here! There are also lots of cheeses, and fresh baked goods (lots!)...and a well stocked deli. The Mudd Valley Cafe is upstairs, and while I haven't eaten there, I have heard it is very good. (There's just too many places to eat at in Amish Country, and too few meals needing eaten in a few days visit!! ) On the main floor, the Mudd Valley Creamery has some of the best custard you will ever eat...along with many flavors of hard packed ice cream, and ice cream specialties. Loved the chocolate custard....so smooth and creamy!! This is a store you really don't want to miss. We sometimes stop here a couple times on our 3 day visit to Holmes County!
Ii love this place for the many different shopping experiences. I always pick up boxed cards when I am here. I always do lunch at least once when I am in the area. The Diner's Deluxe is a great sandwich and eating upstairs is fun because you can look at the many antiques they have collected. Before leaving the area we always shop for meat and cheese to bring back home.
I wish we had one of these in Cleveland! Amazing selection of locally produced goods from Walnut Creek. Everything we tried was very good priced and affordable and most of the stuff I haven't found anywhere else! Was insanely busy when we went so I didn't pick up any of their excellent deli meat, but I've tried that at various delis around Cleveland.
It's an Amish supermarket with a great selection of foods/cheeses at good prices. The fresh baked bread was flying off the shelves so fast that one employee's sole job was to replenish the shelves - but I'm not here to tell you about the market, I'm here to tell you about their cafe. You order downstairs (market area) and then go upstairs to a very large, nicely done, seating area. In your hand is an electronic pager to alert you when your meal is ready and you get it here, on the second floor. We ordered sandwiches - a bacon/turkey and a ham. The bread was wonderful (no wonder they had trouble keeping the shelves stocked) and the ham - it was right off the bone and really tasty. Same for the bacon/turkey. And a bonus-a condiment station with home made pickles and enough fixings to make a salad if you wanted and all included. The place was a real surprise - a good one.
This store has better prices for Amish cheeses and meats in the area than most of the other cheese shops we have visited. We also find good prices for herbs and other bulk items that they package in nice sized containers. It is just a fun place to walk around and look, great variety of items.
