I was looking for a quiet spot to hike and eat lunch. I ended up at the boat ramp (which was pretty busy midweek). The lake is spectacular and the foliage was beautiful. The ramp was well kept up - I will definitely bring my boat here next summer.

We stayed at Caesar Creek State Park recently so we could bike some of the Little Miami Scenic Trail. We arrived on Tuesday and left on Saturday morning. We stayed in section E. The campground is lovely and scenic. The sites are large and angled, which offers a little more privacy. The back end of each site is wooded, which gives you even more privacy. We basically had the whole section to ourselves until Thursday when a few more campers came in. The bathroom/shower houses are another story. The water temp. was tepid at best and the water flow was barely above a trickle. The shower stalls were rusted at the bottom. The doors to the showers and the toilets did not lock. The bathrooms did not get cleaned until Friday sometime. This is a beautiful campground as is the lake. It would be nice to have updated bathrooms, but certainly, we understand the limitations of the funding for our state parks.

Went with a friend for a Sunday hike. The 13 mile (20 km) trail is rather easy, however boring. Not really scenic. The trail is mostly well marked but in some places it's really hard to find it. Took us about 5hrs

Enjoyed hiking on the gorge trail located below the dam. Well marked trail & newly added wooden stairs at the steep inclines to ease the journey. Several path options when you reach the top of the hill. Be sure to wear a good pair of hiking shoes.Waynesville is just West and has several options for eating after a day of hiking at Caesar'sCreek.0

We have been camping here for the last two years. Every time we have gone it has been quiet and everyone seems really nice. The bathrooms were kept clean and stocked with toilet paper. The camper's beach is a little small and the lake bottom is muddy. We just wear our water shoes and it is fine. The other activities around the area are spread out and take a little time to get to (5-15 minutes). The nature center was very interesting and contained a lot of really good information about the lake and area.

We stayed at Caesar Creek Lake for the 1st time 2 weeks ago and are returning this weekend. Our week night stay was excellent. Hope the weekend goes as well bringing the boat and grandkids this time! We are the older couple that would join the noisy group rather than complain. Sorry about the grumps in the earlier post.

We have a large group of families with lots of little kids that have been camping at Caesar's Creek for the last 3 years. This year, we had an older couple next to us that complained we were too loud. So, the next night we were really quiet. However, the following morning the park rangers told us we were kicked out because of another complaint. They said they heard kids giggling in the tent. So ridiculous!!! Never camping there again!

We camped here on a weekend night. Our site was a nice size. We had people a few sites down that stayed up until 4:00 am. They have restrooms and separate shower buildings. The restrooms we alright except only one sink had water and it was only cold water. They also have hand blow dryers that are very old and so it takes quite some time to dry your hands. This is a large park and everything we wanted to do/visit was quite a drive from the campground.

This past weekend was my second time camping at Caesar's Creek State Park. It's really a very nice area and lots to do. The campground is nice and spread-out vs Hueston Woods where you are on top of one another. Each camp site backs to a wooded area and ours led down to the lake. So it was easy to walk down to fish or splash around a bit. The bathhouses are average, but rarely are they great. The area has access to mountain bike trails and rode bike trails. The rode bike trails pass by some great restaurants and small towns which are fun stops. There's fossil hunting available, a beach and loads of canoe liveries. The area is also wooded and the lake doesn't have development on the shores (just trees), so it's very pretty.

Beautiful lake which I have to admit is about 10 minutes from the house, great place in the evening or during the week. Nice loading ramps but be careful,on the weekends when the crazies come out on jet skis! This place gets a bit to insane for us on the weekends but through the week or in the evening it is a nice relaxing place to put the boat in the water and just float

Bridle paths, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, boating, x-country skiing, swimming. The beach is horrible and many of the bridle paths are muddy. Hopefully Ohio will provide some much-needed money to make our State Parks nicer so more people will get out and enjoy the outdoors.

We had a lovely weekend camping at Caesar Creek State Park. The campground was virtually empty so it was nice and quiet. We had a nice time visiting nearby Waynesville for lunch and shopping, did some biking in the campground and visited the Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Center which was outstanding. However, these were the worst campground showers I have ever visited--the doors to the toilet stalls and shower stalls did not latch; the showers only trickeled out a little bit of very cold water and they were filthy. Such a shame that state park campground facilities have gone downhill so much. Also, the campground is huge but only has two sites with water hookups.

I have been noticing that campgrounds are starting to pop up on Trip Advisor, so I thought I'd give my review of our recent stay in the campground in Caesar Creek State Park. We traveled to Kings Island over Easter Weekend and found this campground to be a nice break. It is an easy find right off of I-71, a 20 mile drive from Kings Island. Like most state parks, the benefit here is a nice large site. We had room to throw baseballs and frisbees at our site (#88), which was great. We couldn't really see the lake from our site, but there was a hiking trail off of our loop with views of the lake. My husband said that in some of the other loops there were lake view sites. All of the sites are level concrete pads. We have a 25 foot travel trailer that we tow with a full size van and we fit into the site with just a few extra feet. If you have a longer trailer, you would probably have to park sideways in front of it, which is what we saw others doing. Kids enjoyed hiking, mountain biking and just biking through the park. Park was quiet, the employee at the store was very helpful and overall no problems!

Caesar Creek Lake and park are excellent! This is a state park and has a wonderful nature center, facilities for boating and fishing, and hiking and camping. It's one of my favorite places to spend an afternoon enjoying the outdoors.

Caesar’s Creek Lake provides year round recreation to the outdoorsman.Caesar’s Creek Lake is a short 15 drive from our home in Centerville, and we often combine a trip to visit Waynesville’s shops and restaurants. It is neat to have an Army Corps of Engineers lake in southwest Ohio.We recall the days of visiting Cowan Lake, and we still do.We like either the direct spillway approach with the winding road to the Caesar’s Creek Gorge or the direct SR 73 approach. “Caesar Creek Lake, OH sits astride the crest of the Cincinnati Arch, a nationally recognized resource that is visited by fossil collectors from all over the world.”Visiting in August offers swimming and boating; however, the six – eight weeks of the fall with the every changing leaves is perhaps the most charming time for us to visit. An October sunset with leaves blazing near the lake is priceless. We often visit in the winter to enjoy X.C. skiing. We do recall the environmental controversy years ago when Caesar’s Creek Lake was proposed and constructed.Caesar’s Creek Lake offers the family a variety of activities at little or no costs. We often enjoy picnicking at a variety of well-maintained sites. We enjoy the numerous hiking trails regardless of the season.
