We love the Children's garden here. Perfect for a summer day. There are many hands on activities for the preschool and early elementary kids. Chlorinated river to walk in is my daughters favorite. Worth a trip and FREE

This is hidden in a place not many people will visit, but it's well worth the time to explore. The grounds are beautiful and offer an array of things to see and do. They also have a children's discovery center in the summer that is fantastic!! It has a water play area, sand play area, and some educational aspects about various wildlife. This is a must visit when you are in Dayton!!

There are actually several types of gardens throughout Wegerzyn, just North of Downtown and close to the Boonschoft Museum. Nice, tranquil spot for a walk and reflection.

Hidden near downtown Dayton, this park has a formal garden that is lovely. There is less hiking in this Metro Park than in some of the others, but the garden is well worth the visit. It is beautifully planted and maintained. I imagine it would be a great place to have a wedding if you were looking for a beautiful outdoor spot. There is a playground nearby and it was fun to walk quietly through the garden and hear the happy sounds of kids playing nearby.

First time there after all the time living here. Very nice park. Great discovery area for the kids & love the walking trails. Can't wait to check it out in Spring with all the flowers. Very nice

A very, well maintained, attractive city park. We are expecting a grandchild any day and look forward to taking him when he's older!

What am amazing place to bring your kids too, and a fishing lake just up the road. If I lived here I would be spending a lot of my time a this park, it is beautiful and huge ! So much to keep the little ones entertained. I loved the childrens discovery area, the music park was great and the giant sandboxes are endless fun ! You can hike through a wooded area and a swamp area. The formal gardens are stunning. Thank you for creating such a great park for all to enjoy.

We visited for a child's birthday party outdoors in a picnic area. We walked a few feet away and was quite surprised that we found ourselves in the most beautiful and eclectic flower gardens with a small pond and bridge. The children then played under waterfalls and water run offs throughout small caves, all of which are man made and great for introducing children to nature. A great way to view plants, flowers and trees as they are all labeled. This is a hidden treasure for adults, too!

Love to go and take the golf cart tour through the grounds.Bring family often.There is such a wide variety of native trees and shrubs, one can never take it all in in just one visit.A Miami Valley treasure.

This is the best place for little ones. It's a hidden gem to find. My kids love the water play. And the best part for me is it is free!

A wonderful garden that was in full bloom with lots of annuals, perrenials, and many succulents. There was a woods walkway to explore and a children's garden with a water play area. The play area had a "cave" with waterfall and a stream to wade in. There were also sand tables and many other exploratory activities. They were also having a day camp for kids that would definitely be something to look into if you are near Dayton. It was about a 40 min. drive from Northern Cincinnati, so easy to get to.
