Crew Stadium is pretty amazing. Easily accessible from the nearby interstate it is the home of the Columbus Crew and looks brand new. Not sure when it was built but a great place to watch pro soccer !!
I had a chance to go to a Crew game this fall. Not usually a soccer fan, but hey, it was a nice shared experience with a friend. The parking is plentiful, food and drinks are pricey, but for a game watching experience, it's a great venue. I've also been there for Drum Corps competition and the visbility and acoustics are outstanding
No matter what is going on at Crew Stadium we always have a good time. The fans are insane and always fun to watch! Go CREW!!!
The first professional soccer specific stadium in America, the Columbus Crew stadium is quite a treat. If you are going to watch a game, there are very few poor seats. It is very open, as stadiums go, so be aware of the weather. There is ample parking and plenty of roadside parking within walking distance for the financially minded.
It's incredible. A chance to watch a great soccer team on a beautiful pitch! The only downsize is the location, i think it would thrive in a more central location, around Arena District. The best place to sit is with the Hooligans in the Nordecke! Seats are cheap and the thrills are awesome!
A group of friends went for the Rock on the Range concert this year. I couldn't believe how clean they kept the facility. Three days of drunk and disorderly people and it stayed pretty clean. I was very surprised at how clean the restrooms were. Now of course, one trip to the concessions and you are $30 poorer. The prices are outrageous but I guess that is the norm with any stadium. I look forward to going back next year!
The Columbus Crew Stadium is the first soccer-specific stadium built about 15 years ago. It is showing it's age but I enjoyed a recent game there. The staff that I had contact with were pleasant. I wasn't too pleased that I had to empty the contents of a water bottle prior to entering the stadium. Spending $4.00 on a 20 ounce water bottle was ridiculous but I didn't see any water fountains where I could refill my own bottle. I have been to other soccer stadiums and this was the first time I couldn't bring in my own water. I had bleacher seats which were close to the field and it felt like I was close to the action. There are a lot of stairs which could be an issue for some. I didn't see any signs for elevators but I really wasn't looking for one. The parking situation could use improvement. No signage as to where to go once you pay your $10.00. Despite not being a sell-out, exiting the parking lot took about 40 minutes. Over-all, a good experience.
Always a nice venue for this gigantic concert weekend. Everything seems to run so smoothly when we are there. Food is decent for what it is. They card every time you buy a beer, which isn't always convenient, but at least you know the kids aren't buying beer. I do wish there was a bit more selection with food because we are there for 3 long days. Great job! Staff OS always great.
We have been to 2 Crew games this season at their home stadium and have enjoyed our seats both times. Be aware of the setting sun if you have seats on the eastside of the stadium. They had an autograph session after the last game with 6 players which the kids enjoyed and they had a team photo available for free for them to sign for the kids.
Access in and out of the park is quick. The grounds are clean and the game was a lot of fun. It's a great experience.
We drove in from out of state and had a good time at the game. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were initially surprised at close we sat to the field and also the bleacher seating. We parked near the front of the stadium which for those who never been here, park towards the back of the lot. It is easier to exit. Although our team lost, we still had a good time and we were able to see Crew Cat. As we were leaving the parking lot, we noticed groups of people chatting outside their cars continuing to tailgate. We sat in traffic long enough to look up our restaurant, post a review, and take a few more photos. Hopefully they will figure out better way to redirect traffic. Overall experience was good.
great views from just about any seat in the stadium. very clean. parking was not too bad of a price and got out quicker than expected. we will be back to see more of the CREW for Sure!
We went to a game with my 9 yr old son's soccer team. They played a mini game on the big field, sat on the bench while the Crew armed up. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My son had a memorable experience. The game was great, seats good. Food average priced for that type if venue. They had a fireworks display after the game that was awesome!!!! Our family had a blast!
My wife and I attended a crew game in August of 2014 with our 10 month old child. My son needed to be fed and there was no place to feed him privately. I asked an employee if there was any place to feed him and she rudely responded "Why would you think it was okay to bring him to a game?"While the stadium and game were great, this experience was below average.
Crew V Galaxy was the first game is been to in years (first one as an adult) it was amazing! Food was priced just like at any other sporting event but they have Jeni's Ice Cream and you can't beat that! The lines were always short for food and for bathrooms, low to no wait time! All of the staff we came across was very friendly and there was even a special fireworks show after the game! It was a great night with a large group of friends.
