It's really wow type theater. We were thr for our convention for 3 days. We and our group member were staying at Hotel Sheraton ,which is some foot steps apart. We loved the red interior and golden wonderful works .It's seems like kings empire .Best decorated theater in USA.

This is one of the most beautiful theaters I have been to in the U.S. The wallpaper is a rich brocade, the seats are covered with a crushed velvet and the intricate gold work throughout the ceiling area is gorgeous. The bathrooms are located downstairs. There are several nearby parking areas. I think the one most commonly used is under the statehouse. We saw a Broadway play here, Anything Goes, and it was well done. There was a policeman stationed outside allowing for easy pedestrian access. The acoustics were good.

The Ohio Theater is actually beautiful inside, and even worth a walk around when the show is not going on. I have been there for many shows, and I just love it.I've never had a "bad seat," regardless of how many different places I ended up seated, based on what I was willing to pay for tickets.But you are better off getting there early, as the lines to just simply get in the door get quickly backed up before the show starts. Parking isn't that big of a deal as there is plenty in the underground lot after the show.When it comes to lines for the ladies' room, don't go until near the end of intermission, if it is a packed house. I waited until the "bell," and the line quickly cleared out, but I ended up with plenty of time to still go, return to my seat, and several minutes to spare before it started up again.And also, the shows have always been fabulous. I saw "Newsies" last weekend, but also so many others that were top notch and why go to Broadway, when you can see Broadway in Columbus. Wow. Just Wow.

Husband and I road-tripped up from Cincinnati to see Newsies here this past weekend, and really loved the space. The theater was built in 1928 and is absolutely beautiful. Additionally, we sat in the back of the mezzanine and were actually pretty impressed with the leg room and sight lines, something I've run into problems with in other theaters, depending on the seats, of course (we go to a lot of shows in Cincinnati, and have been to NYC several times, as well). I actually saw another show here about a decade ago where I sat in the center orchestra, and the seats were pretty fantastic. I'd happily see another show here.

Baroque and grand venue. Accessible by private and public transport. Nicely tucked away in a side-street. Just stunning. The event we went to was awesome and I hope to go there more often.

We enjoyed the show Newsies at the Ohio Theater. The theater is old but beautiful. We had seats in the balcony and had to take the stairs to get there. At first it was hard to hear the cast but it got better. Next time we will pay up for lower seats. To get to the ladies room you had to go down a level which was 4 stair cases.

We have many beautiful historic old theaters in Boston but the décor of this theater is breathtaking. We understand it was saved from the wrecking ball some years ago, and thank Goddess that happened. I'm not sure how to describe the décor other than unique; perhaps MGM-extravaganza with Egyptian influence...I don't know what to call it, but go online to get a look and then go to a performance there. We heard an evening of Aaron Copeland and Antonin Dvorak--very good choral and symphonic presentation--excellent acoustics too. You'll enjoy a visit.

A season ticket holder, I enjoy most of the performances scheduled at the Theater. When you can't make a particular event, they work to reschedule near the seats we normally subscribe to. And the slate of performances is wide ranging.

A wonderful gem of a theater, lovingly restored ornate movie house now a major live theater and a good place to see a show. You feel special just walking in there. Good variety of different entertainment around the year.

This was an early show in this run of the Nutcracker. There were some dancer errors. However, the show was great. I always love hearing the symphony. This theater is a very, very nice place and the whole family loves coming here. There are places to eat and have a drink close. This theater should be a must visit place a couple times a year for anyone living here. Symphony and shows - great date material...

When in Columbus, if you have an opportunity to visit The Ohio Theater, it will not disappoint. The theater was saved during the 70's when Urban Sprawl was rampaged. We are lucky to have one of the 5 mighty Mortan organs left in the world. Clark Wilson, our resident organist headlines the theater while traveling the world. The Ohio was saved from demolition and is one of Columbus' sparking jewels. Go see a show, celebrate the arts, live your life!

not a bad seat in the house, feels like your going back in time, beautiful building. They stop sellilng beer way to soon though.

Saw the Nebraska Theatre Caravan's "A Christmas Carol" in this beautiful theater. The acoustics are great. The seats were comfy and there is actually leg room. The restoration work is fabulous.

I attended the production of "A Christmas Carol" at this theater today. It was the first time I have ever been at this theater. What a wondrous sight! Every detail, every nook and cranny, every space was an architectural beauty. From the finishes on the walls and ceiling to that amazing chandelier with the gorgeous light, this theater is a must see.

Oh, so beautiful. I always enjoy going to a performance here and get the feel of a by-gone era. Too bad there is no way to add more restrooms.
