Lagoon Deer Park is a good place for families to visit. They animal encounters are the best. You can feed the animals as well as get up close to a lot of different animals you normally wouldn't.The people there are very friendly. Well worth a visit there.

My two year old son got to play with baby goats and was laughing hysterically. They chased him around and he loved to pet the deer

I have been visiting Lagoon Deer Park for generations. A wonderful park and a wonderful family who owns and runs the park. Some of my best memories were made here. Thanks to Lagoon Deer Park from my family.

If you like animals you should go to see them..They do have different kind of 200 animals from different countries. They are supper hungry all the time. Lots of deers will follow and walk with you all the time. You can feed them. They are not aggressive at all but will try to grab you food bag. The place was smelly, flys, dry, and couldn't find any water to clean my hand after feeding animals. We spent about 1 hour it was good time with animals.

Wow! What a surprise. My special needs daughter and I were granted free admission to the park. They catered to her and you don't always see that. Especially adults special needs. She had such a good time feeding the animals. We are planning another visit soon.

We had marked this place for a stop during our vacation in Sandusky, OH. We made it today and it was everything we thought it would be and more. A family run affair: a petting zoo + fishing in a massive stocked pond (separate transactions). This facility has been in the family for 58 years... and still family run. The feed is inexpensive to buy, and a variety of it is available. The park is well kept and the animals appeared to be clean and healthy. There are about 200 head of goats, deer, sheep, mountain sheep, llamas, etc. All very well behaved. The animals are kept in large pens on the perimeter of the property and the operator lets out just enough to recognize the number of visitors. Had a great time feeding the animals. Expect to spend an hour. Nice souvenirs in the gift shop.Go. You won't be disappointed.

Nothing fancy but they do have a lot of deer. Several different types. They even had lots of newborns when we were there (70, I think). They also have several lakes that you can fish in or just feed the giant carp. They have a gift shop as well.

$5 for each kid to fish, and they all caught fish right away. Very small fish, but we were throwing them all back anyway. Owner was not overly friendly, but kids had a lot of fun. Did not visit the deer park, went to fish only.

Getting to feed the deer was so incredible and fun. They followed us the entire time and even allowed us to pet them and seemed to enjoy being petted. Most of the animals appeared to be healthy. My concern came in when we were walking around and looking at the animals in the fenced area. One there was little to no grass in those areas- I have goats and an area with some type of goats, along the right side, towards the back, near the llamas, raised concern to the point my kids were even a bit upset. In this area one or more of the animals had the poos... really bad, it was covering the ground and these goats looked very thin! One was a baby and I am not even sure how it was still alive, we could see its bones and it had missing hair my kids kept trying to get me to pry open the fence and bring the baby home to our barn. I think maybe they need wormed, some electrolytes for goats and hopefully that would solve the problem. The mountain goats were in a small area and also looked kind of thin. In the far left corner was a bull who we watched literally ram his head and get his horns caught in the fencing. He bent the gate. I know this park expressed on signs that the cost of the animals and food has taken a toll on them financially and they had a jar for donations. I saw a sign about new babies born, which is great but vetting the deer to keep the mating and breeding down would in turn save on costs and hopefully allow them to continue.I hope they are able to find away to continue but PLEASE be sure to keep an eye on all the animals, the upkeep of their pens and their health so as to not distress visitors and kids.

We went in the afternoon as a break from all the roller coasters. My three teenage boys had a blast and enjoyed all the animals. It was an inexpensive fun time.

This place was great, anyone who knows anything at all about animals can tell they're healthy. "The restrooms aren't perfect" ohhh nooo the area you exert your waste isn't pretty!! Ohhh noooPeta needs to shut this down?? Peta needs to stay far far far away and if you're a supporter of peta why are you going to this place knowing you'll probably be offended? This place is great, loads of fun, personal interaction with the animals, great service and a cool little gift shop to boot. Next time we go we are going to try and go fishing

This was really awesome. I would not recommend for small children as the deer can get a bit aggressive with wanting food and might scare or accidently knock over a toddler. For adults or older kids though, it's great. We were the only ones there in between rain storms. There were 6 new fawns! The emus are also incredible. Animals appeared healthy and well-cared for. Just overall great experience. The substrate is rough gravel so it might be difficult to navigate wheelchairs or walkers.

After paying admission (go to their website for discounts), you buy some bags of feed (get multiple $2 bags, which is a better deal than a $5 bag) that consists of corn and peanuts. The deer come right up to you and eat out of your hand. We had never pet deer up close. There are some other animal exhibits as well. The place is a bit shabby and could use updating; they did say, however, that the economy is hurting their business a bit, which is why the places looks a bit rough. Our kids had a very nice time; be sure to teach small children to protect their paper sacks or else the deer will tear the bag (they're smart deer when it comes to food). Glad we stopped and would visit again.

Many animals. The deer walk with you and will grab your food bag if you aren't careful! It is a lot of fun. My daughter loves animals so she was just thrilled to be so up close! There are no hand sanitizer stations and I think that would be an improvement since the animals eat from your hands. Great time!

We were in town staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and seen reviews on trip advisor, then decided to check it out. Glad we did...reviews were on point ;)Awesome small deer park with peacocks, deer, goats, ostrich's, and much more. We really enjoyed feeding the animals and getting up close to pet them. The animals follow you around the farm waiting to be feed...it's really an enjoyable experience for the whole family especially if your an animal lover! This park also offers overnight camping and fishing in their on site fishing ponds. You must bring your own equipment and bait. The camping price is 15.00 a night and you can pick your own spot. Our family plans to return and try out the camping/fishing opportunity this park offers. The staff is very welcoming and very helpful with all questions about the animals. Overall this attraction is worth the price and experience :)Highly recommended~
