We had such a blast at looking at what it really used to be like! My son loved it and still talks about it!

It was well organized and informative. The grandkids found it fascinating as did we. Gives you a real feel for what life may have been like back before technology took over. Makes you appreciate it but yet want to learn more.

Just a really quaint and charming little museum! My daughter said she had a lot of fun. Our 'guide' was super sweet! It's a great place to visit if you are driving through!

This is a sight to see. It is the last original sod house in Oklahoma and is in marvelous condition. It is 120 years old.

I think that it is the last surviving sod house from the Oklahoma prairie territory. The story that goes along with it, is just as unique! Great service and hospitality there. Nice, off road trip! Our visit there was over 7 yrs. ago, but it is always fun to drop in. The form below didn't go that far back in the timeline, so I randomly chose Oct., 2013 as our visit. ;)

Wow. This place is a museum of a few artifacts built around an original sod house. Stopped here on the way to somewhere else. The walls are almost three feet thick. They also have a cellar you can go in. The builder was part of the original land run.

Good place for kids to learn about how people used to live. People giving tours are very knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge.

The sod house is the last remaining structure of its kind in Oklahoma. These were build by the folks who were in the land run. A lot of great history. We were lucky enough to be here when the grandson of the builder visited from Kansas City. He grew up on the farm and had some great stories. A few tears were shed. loved it...

The sod house was a surprise to us. It is contained within a very nice museum. It is obviously original and extremely well maintained. Someone put a tremendous amount of thought into the exhibit and the museum that surrounds it. The artifacts all pertain to the sod house era on the plains. Nothing about this museum is haphazard or less than professional. The air conditioning was very welcome during the drought and heat. If you are interested in history, western relics, or plains history, this museum is a must-see. It is relatively small, but the area is lovely and worth a look.

Very interesting and educational. Sod house is amazing. Rest of museum is interesting. We visited while in the area visiting the Gloss Mountains. Donations suggested
