Attended "Swan Lake" and it was simply marvelous! I talked to one gentleman who had seen the performance 10 times and said this was the best. Velvet seats, fantastic decor. You can't believe you are in Oklahoma.

I recently saw their musical "Isaiah" Wow, was I in for an unexpected treat. The musical numbers and dancing were so moving they brought tears to my eyes. I did not know quality, professional productions like this were still around. And everything about it was so clean! Nothing offensive about it. All ages would love. A truly wonderful evening in a beautiful facility with pleasant, friendly staff. Everyone in Oklahoma should know about this place!

I visited this building several times while it was being constructed. But finally seeing this building completed, after years of paying hard-earned tithes and offerings. I thought it was an ok building. I would think that the hard work of the Philadelphia Church of God cult members who funded the building could have been rewarded with a nice building, but I guess it will do. The performers here are world renowned though! And, they have a lot of items scavenged from Herbert W Armstrong's legacy of leftover properties. Which is pretty cool. Don't forget to visit the prayer rock while you're there!

I highly recommend visiting this edifice. Its a little piece of Athens, Greece, right here in Edmond, Oklahoma. The massive pillars and stone work are reminiscent of the Temple dedicated to Zeus, king of the Olympian gods. The Apostle Paul would have had a hey day with the people running this auditorium, as I'm sure he would not approve of the dedication of such a building to the God of Israel (Acts 17:22 comes to mind).

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you were surprised by the quality of the auditorium. North Edmond was chosen because land was more available here than in town (the college spans 171 acres). The drive is about 25 minutes from downtown OKC. We hope to see you again soon!

Thank you for the compliments on our staff, most of whom are students from the Herbert W. Armstrong College where the auditorium is located. The line-up will vary quite a lot in the 2014-15 season - from Broadway and Jazz to Ballet and Baroque. You can find out more information on our web site.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the acoustics. The volume-to-seat ratio is a measure acoustic engineers use to determine the quality of the sound in a hall. That ratio is better at Armstrong Auditorium than Boston's Symphony Hall, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, and Vienna's Musikverein - the three halls used to set the gold standard in acoustic quality.

Thanks for visiting us and sharing your thoughts. Our spring 2014 season begins January 27-28 with the Moscow Festival Ballet, followed by Broadway legend Brian Stokes Mitchell and famed violinist, Midori in recital - among others. While the ballet is from Russia, the chandeliers are actually trimmed with Swarovski crystal imported from Austria. Hope you can joins us for another performance soon!

It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the acoustics. One additional factoid you may find interesting is that the hall has one of the best "acoustic intimacy" ratings in the world. Armstrong's extremely low 9 millisecond Initial Time Delay Gap is considered excellent by industry standards, providing the listener with a strong sense of acoustic intimacy.
