sandhill curiousity shop

The owners of the shop are in very poor health. We inquired next door as it was closed. The lady at the grocery store said it may not re-open. Still acquaint little stop in a sleepy little small town. We did take some pictures outside.

what a fantastic half hour we spent with harley and annabelle. although we were doing route 66 from santa monica to oklahoma city before heading down to florida we didnt know about them previously and came across them purely by chance after the shop caught our eye as we crossed the lights at the end of the street. they invited us in and put on a great show of eccentricity in the nicest possible way. we're sorry to hear that annabelle has not been too well and hope that she is better now we would like to wish you both lots of health and happiness for the future x

Harley & Annabelle are pretty awesome people who own Sandhill Curiousity Shop. You are invited in after Harley has greeted you with hand shakes and hugs in the street.Annabelle is waiting for us in the "front room" and for the next half hour or so you are entertained by jokes , music and chit chat. A tot of JD seems to be the refreshment on offer, together with beer & Pepsi.There is not an inch of space that is not filled with some trinket from yesteryear, it must have taken a long time to put this together,it looks brilliant.An open mind ,thinking"this is just fun" would be needed as no offence would be intended by Harley, who is a very extrovert and outgoing person.Annabelle had not been well and had just returned from treatment when we met her,this did not seem to stop her from putting her heart & soul into our visit.We wish you well.
